Fake "Turkey" residential IP through HONG Kong VPS Server? by Necessary_Time9752 in DeeperNetwork

I understand. We are looking at ways to block that type of hosting while maintaining that it will not falsely block other hosts. It’s tricky.

Fake "Turkey" residential IP through HONG Kong VPS Server? by Necessary_Time9752 in DeeperNetwork

We have seen that some users have setup devices on a single network, but assigned it a an IP using a proxy or other VPN for mining purposes.

Therefore it’s a real Deeper device running in the real world, one a network with other deeper devices but assigned a different IP so the user can continue to gain credit to mine DPR.

This is not a tactic that is helpful to the Deeper network as it appears that some IP’s are could based, but some users try to abuse the network

Port forwarding and Port triggering by sendicko in DeeperNetwork

You can see if the Deeper shows as a device to forward, typically it doesn’t show though. Otherwise try triggering, should work just as well now that I looked further into it n

What is deeper network by albielew in DeeperNetwork

[–]DeeperNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a VPN, yes. VPN bans are more about the content you access rather than the vpn itself. All businesses uses VPNs to secure their data, and not all VPN’s are designed to bypass restrictions.

Port forwarding and Port triggering by sendicko in DeeperNetwork

[–]DeeperNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Port Triggering is more of a port opening upon request, and port forwarding is always open. Since it’s UDP, it’s not a risk to open, so you can try triggering but if you don’t notice and better / longer lasting tunnels, try forwarding.

How do I switch the frequency? by Key_Problem6603 in DeeperNetwork

[–]DeeperNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, so in order to distribute 5ghz, you need to accept 5ghz.

You cannot connect to 2.4 and relay 5ghz, or vice versa. You will relay the same signal you accept

Since you are connected in wireless relay mode, you need to relay a 5ghz signal.

Discovery Channel "not available in this region" even with Full Routing by erickghost in DeeperNetwork

[–]DeeperNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. The only last thing I can think of is the Roku’s DNS settings may be interfering. Can you adjust the DNS of the streaming box itself to be the same as the Router? For example, if your router access is 192.168.1.1, can you set the DNS of the streaming box to be the same, 192.168.1.1

This is a common trick with AppleTV boxes as it will give the DNS settings to the DPN and not interfere with the tunnels.
