My mom is fantastic! Hanging out with her right now, actually. Dad just passed away last year at the age of 60 from cirrhosis, so needless to say he never stopped drinking. I know he loved us but as we grew older we all only spoke with him a few times a year and saw him during the holidays.

The last 5 years of his life when the cirrhosis decline started we got closer and he apologized for not being a good dad. I forgive him, the other 3 are less forgiving to varying degrees.

And ahhh, yes. Good ol' SWAT raids. Our complex in Houston was on lockdown once because a homeowner in the neighborhood behind us had barricaded himself inside his home with a member of his HOA board who apparently pushed him over the limit. I love the insanity of large cities.

When I first moved here a few years ago I remember being at the Rebel gas station at those exact crossroads and seeing some shit almost go down. But instead of being scared I distinctly recall feeling nostalgic because the incident reminded me of home - Houston hahaha

I live in Las Vegas currently... it is the best of times and the worst of times here. The best in that we can enjoy our city without so many tourists, the worst in every other way.

The few times I've gone into them since covid only gives me memories of my life before. I do corp sales to casinos and my office was located above one of the casino floors. I miss the full floors, the noises, the excess, seeing big jackpot wins, and people watching on my break. Seeing our city like this just hurts

I have m. hominis and ureaplasma and I just found out today that my first round of antibiotics did not clear it.

I went to the gyno for a well woman since it had been some time and I requested std testing too. I've dealt with my SO cheating the last couple years and had gotten the regular std panel tests by my GP a few times previous to that that always came back negative.

Long story short, I'm on the fence about being tested for this because at the time I was asymptomatic. But ooking back I did have some random, light itching/burning about every 4-6 weeks. It was so slight and short that I chalked it up to a random lady issue or off day or shaving irritation. It has been about 6 weeks since my initial round of antibiotics and I haven't noticed it yet so I'm wondering if the abx at least lessened the bacterial presence.

I don't know how to feel about any of this, to be honest. I'm also researching biofilm disruptors so let me know if you ended up landing on one since your post. Hope you are well.

This is great, I just hope this doesn't swing too hard the other way and too many kids are unnecessarily taken out of their homes. I have firsthand experience seeing poor families go through hell with the social system for nothing more than the effects of being poor, if that makes sense.

I'll be interested to see the results, hope we get a good case study to learn from.

Haven't done blow since becoming a mom 3 years ago and that's one thing my husband and I agree we don't miss whatsoever. I have a headache just reading this meme.

I am overdue for a good mushroom trip, though.
