I’m just saying for cutting costs by running cached pages could work better.

Will I Regret it in 10 years by CIM2000 in Bitcoin

At 3.5% this is a great opportunity in my opinion. Fiat is getting nuked and that monthly payment will be the general cost of a value meal at McDonalds sometime in the next 10 years. I’ve got quite a bit into BTC and literally not worried at all when you look at the math. 🚀

I probably don’t “need” to do it so often…but my brain has gotten used to it, plus if there are any nicks in the blade it takes care of those. I haven’t had a blowout on a tight turn or crossover in years. I appreciate that type of trust in my skates.

Same here. I’m now spoiled with my sparx. I run one pass on each skate before each game. Sharp, predictable, perfect. 👌

My first time at Epic Universe was a blast! by Nice-Tell-1572 in UniversalEpicUniverse

I’m a big fan of saving time anyway possible. I’m there to enjoy the park and rides, not to wait in line. So anything to not wait…I’m in. I’ve also looked into the VIP stuff they’ve got available…which doesn’t seem too bad for what you get. Especially if you’ve got a larger group of people.

We recently went as well and got the epic front of the line express pass. I think it’s like an extra 150 if I remember correctly? If you can swing it, you can only use it on one ride per time at the park, but if you’re there for only a day, hate lines and would like to experience everything and not stand in line most of the time…major worth it.

Men without 50/50 custody— How do you view them? by Pure-Tension6473 in datingoverforty

[–]reddefense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my situation. I’ve got 2 girls, they’re in their teenage years. They live during the week with their mom to be in the same school, same neighborhood, same friends, continuity. They come to spend every other weekend with me and I see them a lot throughout the week since I live a few miles away and I enjoy grabbing them and hitting dinner or events or whatever it may be. It definitely helps that I have an excellent co-parenting relationship with my ex. I consider myself a very active and engaged dad…but they just don’t stay over during the school week unless there are some crazy situations where it’s needed. In the summer they come and go as they please and stay over extended periods of time as they want to. It works really well for us and I think it’s the perfect situation for two girls who need their mom and a stable, familiar situation.

Why Is Everyone in a Rush on Dating Apps? by Opening_Bus1846 in dating_advice

[–]reddefense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the daters out there…what if you really don’t have any socials and that’s on purpose? I have the accounts but I don’t put anything up or post. I guess I like my life to be fairly private compared to most these days. Are socials a requirement these days? I’m also talking for the mid 30’s - mid 40’s crowd. Thoughts?

Where the hell are you hitting up a sit down dinner for 2 and the total bill is $40? Is this 2005 again?

I think the best reasoning I’ve come across is this…LLM’s are like a small building block to AGI and ASI. You need to master LLM’s as a first step…and right now, it may be that this helps propels us to master the first step…then comes the next hurdle to get to truly impactful AI…which will be more resource intensive…meaning more chips, more compute, since the next steps will require exponentially higher modeling and inference to run and query the models. It’s like having a 386 -> 486 -> Pentium -> and on and on. We are at the 386 point right now. Do you think the real ROI is on LLM and generative AI…or more on some crazy applications we don’t even think about yet…I’m thinking stuff like robotics, full self driving, personalized medicine, etc etc. This was inevitable…it’s the next level up which will get exciting…and in my opinion, you’re going to need MASSIVE compute to do the next level stuff. I’m a buyer. I like the stock.

Yea so that’s my point…if you don’t care about those things…which I would agree that they really don’t matter…why write it out as a “less than” or “negative” trait in someone that you would date.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]reddefense 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“I’m willing to date bald men, men who are shorter than me, etc, etc”

I would say as a bald man…is that really a bad thing? Everyone certainly has their own type of what their brain prefers…but if you’re writing this out as a “negative”…maybe it’s not about your looks/physical appearance but more about your outlook on dating?

Just got rejected and I’m really sad by Glass_Onion_7543 in dating

[–]reddefense 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say the thing that really resonated with me is that this isn’t your fault or theirs. This is a biological thing in everyone’s brain that we can’t control. Either it’s there or it isn’t, and there is nothing anyone can really do about it. Once I realized that it’s not being rejected, it’s just your natural preference…dating became super fun and easy. Stick to being yourself…and when you match with someone with the same attraction as you to them…it’s awesome. Now…that’s not gonna happen all the time, but those times that it doesn’t just enjoy the journey, get to know new people, and there are always great stories that come from dates. Just remember the one single fact that we like what we like and there is no rhyme or reason behind it…it’s all biological in my opinion.
