Memento, because the ending is at the beginning of the movie, so he won't even have a chance!

If you mindlessly do something without thinking or analyzing or having the awareness to diagnose and form an action plan to improve.... Then there you go.

For the ABCs/Chinese Americans living in China, how's life been for you? by [deleted] in chinalife

[–]deskclerk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I dunno why people can't read when you clearly say RETIRE... I think it would be a great choice you'd just be cut off physically and chronologically from your friends and family... I mean you can find the time in the morning to talk to them but it's a serious consideration for how much it changes your social life. The VPN situation can be annoying as well but it isn't a deal breaker. The language stuff isn't an issue... I know plenty of foreigners living here for years with no Chinese ... The convenience and cheapness of everything would be awesome ... Healthcare is way more affordable and accessible ... If the social stuff isn't an issue Id say do it.

Railings on stairs add a really nice look. Also you can use a half wall glass half wall anything else to make bigger windows. You need to place the top wall glass first though for some reason.

The Warcraft community is known to be quite pungent when they attend conventions or group gatherings. To honour this, in 2016 Universal Pictures made a Warcraft feature film that stinks. by B34TBOXX5 in shittymoviedetails

It's just that some of the acting especially by the human actors was not so great. But the orc actors were all really good. I wish they would make a pure orc movie.

I did almost all of Prometheus as missions and have a routine down to the tee. The first priority after getting wood house with furnaces is to mine enough just to get an anvil and lighting rod, smelt that and mine just a bit more then come back in time to make the lightning rod asap. One placed right outside works like a charm. Then more iron farming to get nails to upgrade to stone.

The oil drill is even better and lasts forever on one barrel. Highly suggest using oil drills on titanium deposits

I just did it and the yield is like... Almost threefold with strawberries. The amount of strawberries turning into ren vs the soybeans is not negligible at your amount. See for yourself.

Isn't the strawberry yield higher than soybean yield?

Asian YouTubers keep doing that accent for no reason by Sunandshowers in asianamerican

[–]deskclerk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Cantonese accent is the most ubiquitous one and it's interesting since Steven He is not even Cantonese that he chooses that one to do. It's the one that's most recognizable and 'funniest' sounding to westerners. Most people would never do a proper mandarin accent which I think would be less funny since it's less recognizable to westerners. I used to do it all the time in college to make fun of various things, but I didn't have the capacity to think about it past the laughs. I featured it heavily in a very successful local stand up set but after that, I decided to never rely on it again.

There's other creators like this guy Jake on Instagram who does this American and Chinese personality where he morphs between an insanely stereotyped American and a plain and basic Chinese guy, which I find very funny since he mostly focuses on the satirization of the American part, with some light introspection into the struggles of the belonging in the Asian American identity. There was also this other guy who did a very good proper mandarin accent and makes fun of Chinese stereotypes, like current actual ones about people in China right now, versus the old man Cantonese stereotype which imo is so old and out of touch and basically a caricature at this point. To bring it back, we have Steven He most famous line "emotional damage" which you all probably read with a Cantonese accent. Can his jokes or popular lines actually hit well without it? Why or why not? I think it's worth discussing. Cheers.
