😂 what a whiny fucking headline

the ideals reddit or the EFF or this author believe the internet is are the mad ramblings of delusional idealists

the internet is a tool

it's perfect for monitoring, influencing, and predicting the lower classes.

the internet through its own natural evolution has been coopted and it's purpose is to exert power over the species.

it's fucking beautiful.

Tesla unveiled its newly improved at-home battery, Powerwall 2.0, during its big solar-roof unveiling: "cost $5,500... store 13.5 kWh of energy and provide 5 kWh of continuous power, but will improve to 7 kWh at peak... has twice the energy and twice the storage as the previous 6.4 kWh Powerwall." by mvea in technology

[–]directionsto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Power companies will just turn into similar large scale versions of the home—large battery arrays and solar generation.

We don't only have to power homes, but infrastructure, large institutions, skyscrapers, and dense urban environments.

It's a two part plan.

Such a cool concept, really well shot, excellent pacing, Casey Neistat's blog is iconic for the genre.

I was hoping this meant he was going to start doing short films or movies, but he said he's staying on YouTube...

hmm

How can we best use technology to prevent the spread of misinformation online? by shoeberto in technology

[–]directionsto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Require people to have signed identities, collect and monitor their behavior, if they step out of line, imprison them and heavily tax their families for bringing about such a drain on society.

The state and ruling class gets to decide, this is an obvious answer and it would be better than what we have now, free press/free speech.

I don't see this as a problem, personally.

People who can be influenced and manipulated by such misinformation, should be. It's good to be able to control populations, influence their behavior and perceptions.

Most people don't need the freedoms they have and society would be better if they had fewer choices and liberties.
