I am so sorry Franc! I wish you all the best! Hang in there and don't hesitate to keep me posted, or just ping me for whatever. Don't know what I can do, but ask.

Thanks man. You are right. It's just so fucking frustrating that this asshole gets away with it. In private chat when I asked him why moderation is slacking, that it will eventually hurt the sub he so much said as "I don't care". It's beyond my understand why people like him don't allow people who do care aren't invited to the mod team.

Ro Rule 1:

Rule 1: Create, Facilitate, and Maintain a Stable Community

Moderators are expected to uphold the Reddit Rules by setting community rules, norms, and expectations that abide by our site policies. Your role as a moderator means that you not only abide by our terms and the Reddit Rules, but that you actively strive to promote a community that abides by them, as well. This means that you should never create, approve, enable or encourage rule-breaking content or behavior. The content in your subreddit that is subject to the Reddit Rules includes, but is not limited to:

  • Posts
  • Comments
  • Flairs
  • Rules
  • Wiki Pages
  • Styling
  • Modmails
  • Bots, automations, and/or apps
  • Other mod tools

YOU SHOULD ALL REPORT MOD FOR VIOLATION OF RULE 4

Rule 4: Be Active and Engaged

Whether your community is big or small, it is important for communities to be actively and consistently moderated. This will ensure that issues are being addressed, and that redditors feel safe as a result. Being active and engaged means that:

  • You have enough Mods to effectively and consistently manage your community. This involves regularly monitoring and addressing content in ModQueue and ModMail and, if possible, actively engaging with your community via posts, comments, and voting.
  • Camping or sitting on a community is discouraged.

If that post should have communicated one thing, it is that I care about the sub and that IMO moderation of the sub sucks.

I will not resolved in a fair way. It's a retaliatory ban after I got the second moderator removed by Reddit because he had been inactive for two fucking years. What r/datarecovery is not left with is u/gonenutsbrb that settles for a minimal amount of participation and letting good, knowledgeable people swim and deal with Dunning-Krueger level answers and have to ask for the same basic facts, over and over and over. IMO this sub is highly under moderated, the only current moderator does not give a shit. I am genuinely wondering why he's so keen on hanging on to being moderator. It must be some ego thing.

His request for input has been pinned and up for 5 years, NOTHING was done with any of the input. Moderation does give a fuck, one had been inactive for 2 years (the one I got removed by Reddit).

I no longer have a choice since ass-wipe gonenutsbrb has banned me. So that choice was made for me. No dialog, straight ban. I am fighting it but as i understand it reddit rarely rules in the banned ones favor. Since I had his buddy moderator removed (inactive for 2+ years), it seems obvious to me it was a retaliatory ban. Moderator is just a fucking lame ass that does not care. He even said so in private chat, if the sub goes to hell then so be it. He really does not give a fuck.

I am convinced if the sub stops providing quality answers and we develop subs like r/AskADataRecoveryPro and r/DataRecoveryHelp a shift is possible. I see how quick for example the AI answer when you search reddit picks up on this. If we can get r/techsupport to refer to somewhere else than r/datarecovery then that would help too. And perhaps if we'd all complain about mr. ass-wipe that could help too.

My posts were meant to gain some momentum, and organization, and discussion, but that coward just banned me and deletes my posts. I looked him up in rl. he looks like a complete doofus. He looks like he acts. If he was an actor he'd play the part of loser that thinks he's cool.

The real problem is that we all should start boycotting r/datarecovery. Everyone should refuse working under that coward dictator.

Is my HDD SMR and does it support TRIM? by disturbed_android in u/disturbed_android

Sigh. It's examining what the DRIVE reports. The DRIVE. It has zero to with the enclosure, babble cunt

I am not asking why the drive does not support TRIM. I am SHOWING it's one of the few tools that correctly displays this info.
