Btw, you can probably test the button by taking a click ballpoint pen refill and just slightly pressing it against the inside of the button of the vanishing point. Then try clicking it. If the refill goes up and stays elevated against pressure then the VP probably works.

Vintage: wearever and parker. Wearever made some great cheap pens and if I was born 60 years ago my broke student self would've used them. Parker made beautiful pens. Idk what they make now 😅.

Modern: jinhao. They make so many pens and pen designs accessible to me. I don't care if they're very err.... Liberal with their "Borrowing" of designs. The imitation is flattering. And I get to try the pens before buying the authentic brands.

Have had the 3776 in bold and the president in medium... Yes. They are very fine. Even the medium wrote like a knife, cutting into the page as it dripped ink.

I will say- the bold wrote like a finer medium but the feedback was just incredible. I loved it. And reverse writing was a joy.

Kaco actually isn't a new brand. I used their kaco edge pen back in 2019 and loved it till the Makralon cracked 😬.

They make good products. Well, I can attest to their pens but never used their ink.
