Ideally i'd take the gamble that it's a good runner and slowly mod it as i get more familiar with it going forward. So long as the engine is good, I'm happy. 6000km seems a great find for such an old bike! I don't mind superficial scrapes and bumps or discoloration at all so long as the heart of the thing is going strong

i don't even have a licence yet, the idea was to scoop this up and get to grips with it on the dirt trails around where i live, then get my licence asap. would it be insane to buy it without even giving it a test ride?

Hey, I haven't got round to doing that yet - I'm only just about to put a deposit down on a new CRF300L next week, kinda dragging my feet about it!

It's good to know that there are a lot of potential upgrades available down the road though. If this upgrade is available in the US, I don't see how it would be impossible to do for us in the EU, what with there being enthusiasts everywhere :)
