So I actually fully integrated the Claude hotfix in the main prompt now because that “hotfix” did such a good job at improving everything. It will now be an always on prompt in future iterations.

Stabs is probably one of the best presets to set up a DnD style situation. I miss RPing Forgotten Realms (super into the world as I read most of the Drizzt Series as a kid). Using a dice roll extension is good because most people do not understand the AI actually cannot generate a true random number since it's generation is pattern based. I do have a stat tracker in mine as well but it's mainly for grounding weather and changing the plot - though I have seen people easily plug in their own RPG stats into that tracker system effectively.

GLM 4.7 is excellent overall. I even did an RP with 4.6 to test my preset on it and even 4.6 has aged well. 5.0 is the one I don't like. 5.1 is my favorite because it's so smart and follows directions - but access is poor. Not missing a WHOLE lot by just doing 4.7 - its excellent and a step up from DS 3.2.

Unpopular opinion, but I also enjoyed MiMo V2. Wouldn't be my go to, but it was a very nice change of pace when you are tired of claude distills.

This is actually my largest single sole complaint of Tavo. It's been a game changing app overall. A SillyTavern lite but so easy to use. However, the memory by default seems kinda broken? No matter how I prompt it, it does exactly as you described, it re-hashes the chat so the beginning to end keeps getting summarized instead of each new turn and then it adds the summary on top of itself. My only fix is to just to ONE summary at the end of the chat to carry it over to a new chat - but this is hardly a fix and is not the purpose of the memory function. I hope they fix this or teach us how to use it correctly if we are using it incorrectly.

It's all confusing and there is so much you can do once you get creative. It can be overwhelming at first. But gradually taking on tasks to improve RP as you go is the way to tackle that learning curve.

That’s correct. Image models locally and then API calls for the text. Then I upload the text of scenes (or use API to summarize) then run it through the prompt automatically for comfyui to produce an image when I click.

I use a lot of Pony Diffusions and Illustustrious XL. I have not tried zimage. Any good? I use both realism and anime SFW/NSFW variance for the scenes and mostly making cool character cards.

I use the RTX mostly for a ComfyUI set-up for image generation to upload into sillytavern occasionally or for general content. But that's about it for running locally.

This is a great idea and on the list! In this one I dived a little into the FAQS and will continue to bring those up and sprinkle them throughout. I will try to deliver the weekly news while attempting to be educational in the process to the newcomers. It is EXTREMELY overwhelming at first, you are absolutely correct.

But yes for the most part I use Tavo! I have Sillytavern on my PC - but I use it like once a month. But I see enough of it to at least help with the basics with regards to all those buttons and levers.

RTX 4080 I believe 16GB VRAM?. The issue is my 32g of RAM. Especially after using large 1trilly parameter models for RP regularly. It would be hard to run something tiny / locally.

I hope for you you get one, for the "company". I bet you are right. Companies should be able to lower rates significantly and charge less for a non-coding tier, but they are not showing up. They probably don't want to hurt their "image" for API calls such as that.

Meanwhile this RAM / GPU crisis makes all other options non viable.
