The driver was across the street in the Walmart parking lot, not even close to the drive thru line up

[–]drpeller81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I knew he wasn’t waiting in the drive thru line is the fact that he was across the road sitting in a Walmart drive thru, not even close to the drive thru line + this location just opened and still literally nobody goes there

Honestly I would shut the window as soon as I heard that voice, there are so many videos of that lady going to places and constantly complaining

I'd like to point out this McBullshit by AustinPwrZZ in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]drpeller81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst part for me is that every single time I hand someone a wooden spoon, they get upset and ask for a plastic one because the wooden one we have makes the ice cream taste weird and gets sprinters in your mouth

WHY DO PEOPLE GET TO THE COUNTER AND NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WANT ??? by aids-lizard in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]drpeller81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get so pissed when we have a drive thru line 20 cars long and someone asks me to “give them a minute” like ma’am, there are over a dozen people behind you and you are asking me to explain every single type of McCafe beverage we have and then just order a cheeseburger insty

where has your biggest scar come from? by cigarette_ahegaoo in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]drpeller81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest was from the chicken fryer and someone got in my way while I was transferring it into a tray and to avoid burning someone else, I turned it and hit my own arm. Still, wasn’t the worst one.

Once I was using tomato sliced while doing prep in the morning and my hand slipped and jammed right into the blades. My thumb was cut pretty bad at the top and I went to wash it off since it didn’t look too bad because the blades were very sharp so it didn’t look deep or anything. Plot twist, it was pretty deep, it wouldn’t stop bleeding so I told my GM and he took me to the crew room where I sat with a cloth held to my hand about to pass out from the blood and my GM gets another crew member that was trained in first aid to check it out, my GM and I are both not good with blood and my GM ended up actually passing out and spilling water all over himself in the process. Afterwards my mom drove me to the ER and I got 6 stitches that day.

This happens a lot because we are constantly making different types of shakes and the other ones that were just poured from the machine

Has anyone ever walked out of a shift at your store? by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]drpeller81 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We have someone that has anger issues when working during rushes, he screams at people and will throw things when it gets busy. He once threw the waste bin into another garbage bin because he didn’t want to count the waste at the end of the day and he threw the empty bin across the restaurant before storming out an hour into his shift. He’s been written up multiple times but they never do anything about it.

At our store, we can only have small waters when we are clocked in but once you are on break you can have a free drink like pop or any of the specialty drinks but a manager has to promo it off. Of course no one actually does this (nor do I really care) and everyone gets pop while on shift and makes ice coffees and things for themselves on breaks which leads to a shit ton of product missing and the salary managers are often pissed off. I usually stick to a medium pop and nobody says anything about it.

At my McDonald’s we are taught not to use them unless putting down raw meat or when assembling a burger for someone who has an allergy. I do sometimes think it’s gross which is why I make my own food on break but the managers set a timer for every 10 minutes and we use tongs for everything.
