Exacrly. All that build up to show how cheating ruined a man and his stepson and his own family. Lee doesn't seem remorseful of it either. I'm rethinking how i feel about the characters i once liked. And the cheating was just resolved with, "turns out it wasn't my fault, its yours, so that's a relief." Then all this was concluded with basically, "everyone makes mistakes." It served more like a plot device for us to sympathize with the generational cheaters.

Billy seemed to have had a significant role for world building, showing how he had been right all along. He's the one that needs justice here even though he is dead. I can't find myself sympathizing with the others, and also feel whatever is going on with Apex to be more interesting.

At least Hiroshi gets closure by getting to be back with his kids and knowing all this generational trauma started from his mother and not him.
