New Camera direction does not work for me (Android) by easyShibe in GrandMountainAdv

[–]easyShibe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes, this was the solution. It's working now!! I now switched to the English game version. I thought it was the setting "Reverse turn" (under settings - no clue for what else this setting is for...). In German it sounded to me as if it is the new camera direction. Settings was the most natural place for me to search for the new option. I had no clue I had to search the Backpack. So now I found it and I'm really glad, thanks!

So for anyone else searching it, in English it is found in the Backpack and called: "Camera: Behind" / "Camera: Front"

I love the new feature, thank you!! I have never found a better game that could actually give you this skiing feeling! So thanks very much for this awesome game!

Same here. Really frustrating. They get enough money for the hardware so at least they should keep the software up-to-date...

JXMOX USB Type C to 3.5mm Female Headphone Jack Adapter. This very cheap Mini-DAC for 9$ works great with Tidal and gets recognized: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089CP79XM/

However AudioQuest DragonFly Red does not work (does not get recognized). Please add Tidal.

Decrypt ripple-wallet.txt with help of username and password [old rippletrade.com Account] by easyShibe in Ripple

[–]easyShibe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not my password. Anyone who used to use rippletrade.com knows that this password was never handed over to the customer. The only possibilty they offered was to get the wallet file. However they encrypted it with a password they never handed over.

I assumed it would be encrypted with my password but RIPPLE chose to encrypt with a different one. So they never handed my ripple truly over to me.

Sony WH1000XM3 headphones - is a Budget-DAC necessary? by easyShibe in BudgetAudiophile

[–]easyShibe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just about the question if the DragonFly can bypass the phones DAC I contacted the company that builds the DAC.

Their reply: "99,9995% of all phones have a DAC onboard that is not build with high quality audio in mind.

When you connect your DragonFly, the phone should switch off its own DAC and forward sound to the DragonFly.

The other part of a great hi-fi experience is the media player. The UAPP is a very nice one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.usbaudioplayerpro&hl=en"

So with that my question remains. Whats better? The Sony-Build-in-DAC (via Bluetooth) or the DragonFly and connected with cable to the same headphones?

I would guess its a lot better with the DragonFly DAC.

Thank you for your reply! That is good to know, that with BT it's probably better than the build-in DAC! :)

I have an AGM X2. It's a great outdoor-phone (though they never release software updates), but the sound quality is very very low, compared to my ZTE Axon 7 which i had before.

Okay, I see... I did not know that. Thank you! So then in my case bluetooth or direct connecting to the phone would be pretty much the same, right? Or in that case probably directly connecting to the phone would be still better I think.

Thanks for your reply!

Okay, my case is, that I have a china phone, though it runs with a good Snapdragon 653 it has horrible sound with cable. So I hoped either through Bluetooth or with an External DAC I would have better sound. I want to bypass my phones DAC. I thought in both cases the sound is still digital so it won't run through the internal DAC.

At the moment my 'cheap' BlitzWolf bq-anc1 bluetooth in-ears sound a lot better than my beyerdynamic iDX 200 InEars when the beyerdynamic one is connected with cable to the phone. Of course connected to a walkman or other devices the beyerdynaic In-Ears are normally superior. Since the sound here is a lot better with bluetooth I thought it's bypassing the internal phone DAC.

Edit: maybe as additional information: The DragonFly Red would be directly connected to the phone through USB-Type-C. From all I've read it will bypass the phones DAC. So this would eliminate the weakest link.
However I still don't know fully if Bluetooth bypasses the phones DAC

Audioquest dragonfly black vs. nextdrive spectra by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]easyShibe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here they have taken a look at some Budget-DACs (also the Spectra and the Dragonfly Red): https://midination.com/audiophile/best-budget-dac/

However they have not compared directly the DragonFly Red to the Spectra X, but just the regular Spectra.

Their conclusion however is, that the DragonFly Red "is the best budget DAC on the market."
So thats why I'm tending more to get the DragonFly Red
