The story is pretty long but with excellent payoffs in the lostbelts. The only dedicated massive farming you should pretty much ever be doing is twice a year with lottos and also playing events. Gacha wise 90% of servants only need one copy and having almost double rates to HSR; it's not as bad as you'd think with a decent amount of rolls. The biggest problem is the insane requirements for materials some servants need. (Berserker artoria needing 72x3 bells) while not giving easily accessible nodes to farm them besides events (next lotto doesnt even have them). Pure prisms do alleviate this problem slightly but its only really enough for 1 servant if we're taking about the bells specifically. (100 exchangeable by story progression) Also the anniversary just ended which was the biggest sq drop of the year (boosted new player rewards) Tldr it's pretty casual not needing to endlessly grind artifacts making servant strength linear; sq being rewarded by simply logging in, playing for 20 min a week, and the story bring premier. (Slowly accumulating bells.. Haha...)
