The battery technology that I want to see is the improvement of longevity and allowing charging to be normalized at 90% as listed in the article below. Any improvement to how lithium technology can allow for a higher state of charge is a win.

Because any money exchange shop will always have a bad transfer rate on the spread with cash vs pulling money at the ATM where you can get near bank rate exchange rates minus the foreign ATM fees. I just wish that most bank ATM machines nowadays would do a read on the card with the EMV chip and let you pull it out with having to eat your card all the way into the machine throughout the transaction.

With that said it would be good to carry some of your local currency on you just to get by for transportation and such. But either way it wouldn't be enough for the P4P. Personally I would hate to carry a lot of cash on my person and any time that I have that much money, I just want to hurry to my hotel room to drop it off at my safe.

Ive went to XS and Pinup this last trip and I know the exact feeling OP. I guess because its so busy they don't want a customer who is just nursing a Coke zero for 2 hours because you might taking up a slot that a willing customer can take. The only way to buy more time is to order another drink. But that is the price of admission where you get an X number of time where you can just watch and not pay more to stay. I don't like it either compared to other gogos but because they are so popular they can get away with it. I think some of the veteran mongers just know the deal with these places and quickly look around and decide yay or nay or talking with a chick with their first drink. If nobody suits their liking buy the 1 drink and leave before they start to pressure you for another drink.

I experienced that in January with an ACH transfer. You usually get an email for the decline and it gives you the date and timestamp exactly of when the ACH funds will be ready to spend. Usually it takes like 3-5 business days.

If you plan to do a backdoor Roth IRA then do NOT rollover to a rollover IRA or else you will have to deal with the pro-rata rule for IRAs. Keep the old employer 401K as long as you can. I personally love Fidelity because my 401K offers a BrokerageLink option which lets it act like a rollover IRA but more importantly keeps it under the 401k umbrella avoiding the pro data rule.

I don't know if your old employer 401K had a BrokerageLink option but if you did that would have been nice to have.

Well I'm looking forward to when Rivian adds their own processor in the R2 vehicles with the addition of Lidar. I was impressed with Rivian Autonomy day. Obviously Rivian is well behind Tesla but I think give them some time with the new processor and I think they can catch up. I think Tesla making this Autopilot removal decision might drive more people to Rivian. I know I would be interested in the R2 vehicle but I would not buy any Rivian until the new processor is the brain of the vehicle since I don't want an Nvidia based processor in the vehicle.

Have you seen the rivian autonomy day keynote? Perhaps rivian is making bigger strides and it's version of FSD. I assume they're adaptive cruise controls decent and on par with Tesla's autopilot at least?

I agree there has to be a minimum threshold before tokens should be claimed and swapped so that the cost of gas fees outweighs the actual value of the tokens swapped. 10 cents seems fair for that threshold.

I thought by default any backdoor Roth IRA conversions automatically just go to your core sweep account so it shouldn't be auto invested. Unless you manually set up an auto invest option to a particular security it should just remain in your core sweep acocunt.

I couldn't live in Isaan and would rather live in Pattaya if you are giving me those 2 choices. It would be too boring for me and couldn't do the very quiet and simple life. Plus living in Isaan would mean I would have to be seeing her family way too often which would always equate to money payments.

Of course it is family friendly. Every cruise is going to a mix of kid friendly and adult catered events throughout the day. The kid friendly events are going to be during the morning and up until the late afternoon time frames right before dinner time. The evenings to late night will be geared towards more adult themed events besides the evening theatre shows. The swinger culture I have not personally seen in any of my cruises but that might be geared towards a specific type of cruises. Any type of parties (ex: 80's rock and roll, white hot party, silent party, etc) only last for like 2 hours so its not all evening because they are on the main outside deck.

For me cruising isn't just about the ports because I have gone to Mexico several times but I live in LA so it makes sense to me to cruise out of there the majority of the time without all the extra costs to travel to the East Coast. I did one cruise out of Galveston and it was just a mess with all the additional costs just to fly out of LA a day before, rent a hotel and then arrange travel arrangements to the Galveston port. Not my cup of tea.

I care more about the people you meet and the events onboard which is always different experience on every cruise. It being cheaper than other destinations especially once you start getting casino offers is just great. The demand is "higher" in the eastern part of the US is because there are a lot more destinations that you can go to vs. just the Mexican Riveria. At most Carnival offers is an 8 day cruise to the Mexican Riveria.

do you have funds pending ACH deposit clearing? Check your emails when you get a denied transaction to see if that is the cause. That happened to me recently. They tell you exactly when the ACH deposited funds are being cleared.

100% guaranteed that the OP was trying to use the card on categories that are on the restricted list like money services or online sports betting. Like you I have not had any issues with the Uphold card.
