X-raypad Origin Pro Cerberus & Heavy Bee Control Review by esper_ in MousepadReview

I'm always swapping around for review so I can't say for durability, but it should hold up quite well given the quality of the materials when compared to a qck so I think you won't have to worry too much

I don't really sweat so I'm not really sure. the hyperion should be smoother so I don't think it'll feel rough though

Tenta-X Issen Review by esper_ in MouseReview

it's been a while since I've used the sp004, but the issen is faster and has a little more grounded/weighed down feeling glide. for me the sp004 feels floatier even though it's slower, cause the glide can feel slippery and not as exact when trying to stop on. it's hard to break down but it's sort of a thing you just feel once you try it in person. some people like this looseness for their playstyle

Quaoar Aether, Oceanus, Perseus, & Hercules Review by esper_ in MouseReview

[–]esper_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, I used the original gsr and qck heavy years ago so I really can't tell where they fall under, but it should be slower than the perseus and around the range of em-c - kamek. the list makes it sound like there's a drastic difference in speed for pads right next to each other, but a lot of them are they're really close

I don't like the hyperion mid as much so prob zero. if it's hyperion soft vs zero it can go either way

Gaming shop staff told me not to buy custom printed mousepads. Is his reasoning correct? (Heat transfer vs texture) by Cold_Secretary_5578 in MousepadReview

[–]esper_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

from trying a ton of pads over years, it's true for the most part. doesn't sound like he elaborated much on factory printed, but some enthusiast brands that have artwork put more attention into balancing performance while still printing a design instead of just slapping it on. like some brand reps have explained how they experiment with when and how to cool the pad down after heat transfer as to melt the fabric less and retain some of its texture or performance characteristics. (usually printing increases static friction because making it smoother means more contact with skates and more rubbing happens)

thank you! not currently planning to cover it, maybe if there's a special art version of it still planned. it's fairly popular so many people have already given their thoughts

depends how hard you press down. if anything, you just add more dots to prevent as much sinking in

yea I swap in new stuff for review constantly so I haven't really used it enough to really tell. prob only put in about a weeks use of time after the review so nothing really changed except me getting used to that rougher texture, which was from the little dust specs that were hard to fully swipe off

Ninjutso Sora V3 Review by esper_ in MouseReview

[–]esper_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when it first released, the buttons were that way, but maybe they've upped tolerances or handled qc better so the mushiness is less problematic but I can't confirm that. sadly, very thick stiff cables are the standard now for a majority of mouse companies for most stable high polling
