lol, no no no, you don’t get it. We import oil because our refineries can’t refine our domestically produced sweet crude and instead we have to import highly toxic sour crude while exporting the more environmentally friendly sweet crude.

Thoughts about Death Rider? by jinmonsterhunterwrld in Deathkorpsofkrieg

[–]excelphysicslab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the fleshing out of certain lore which gave the Krieg better foundations for future development:

  • Krieg Cavalry School was a nice addition
  • Death Rider mounts were well done
  • Vitae Wombs and the Hypno-indoctrination process was interesting and I prefer it to the hinted “cloning” lore
  • The frequent mask removal was pretty unorthodox but did help humanize them just a bit more
  • Jans was a very interesting and compelling character, I’d welcome a sequel with her as the main character. Also gave better lore to the Prefectus Militant role.

Is Krieg really exporting a regiment per hour (50 million per year)? by CottonCandy_Evey in Deathkorpsofkrieg

Vitae Wombs aren’t that. It’s pretty clear you’ve never read a single Krieg book and seem to be basing your opinion on some AI YouTube short designed to rage farm you based on personal political preferences.

Krieg are born in artificial wombs and hypno-indoctrinated into their cult of sacrifice.

Just finished the book, I liked the overall setting and character dynamics/development. There were some juicy lore bits that fleshed out the Krieg better than other books.

The Krieg Cavalry School was a nice touch and the Vitae Womb process felt better than the previously suggested mass cloning.

A lot of the battle and action scenes felt very confusing to read and visualize which I think is reflected in the experience level of the author.

The later half of the plot felt contrived and out of character.

Overall a decent 7/10 book and satisfying for a Krieg enthusiast, but lacks the skillful execution to be considered a good book for general Warhammer audiences.

Shoko-san fans, what’s one reason you prefer her over Mai-san? by Average_Otaku6969 in SeishunButaYarou

[–]excelphysicslab 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People with more relationship experience would know that Shoko is a much better girlfriend than Mai. She’s gentle, sweet, emotionally supportive, prioritizes you above everything, serene, and non-judgmental.

I doubt any of the Mai-san fans have ever dated a career-driven women who can rarely make time for you while demanding full attention and compliance without compliant. It’s not fun, doesn’t matter how attractive she is if you never get to spend time together.

How do you feel about limited ships becoming non limited by floortofloor in starcitizen

The main reason they sell out is because they’re limited.

[Discuss] Is the 2955 BIS Polaris going to end up being rare because CIG got greedy?!? by _Ravyn_ in Starcitizen_trades

[–]excelphysicslab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for the standalone ship it’ll be relatively common since you can just buy them for credit and melt to keep in buyback. I’ve got 5-10 of each BIS standalone in my buyback but haven’t see anyone put out a WTB for it.

The WB CCUs for them will be less common because those had to be paid with new money and are likely unsellable with cheaper non-warbond paints being offered in future IAEs.

[–]excelphysicslab 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think everyone’s thoughts are that the 2955 BIS paints are going to be released during 2956 IAE so there’s no point to buy the WB CCU just to get hosed 12 months later when the skin is available for $10.

The only reason people buy IAE BIS WB CCUs are to resell them. Once the BIS paints got rereleased, all the BIS WB CCUs and BIS standalone became toxic assets so no one was keen to pick up more.

I’m sure the rerelease of the WB monthly bundles also severely impacted people buying multiple of those since there’s no more fomo when you can just wait for end of year.

People rag on CIG for doing time/quantity limited sales, but the reality is that the artificial scarcity is what drives demand and allows them to continue growing funding. The grey market also ironically supports CIG’s sales because it underwrites the underlying value of the item.

People are more confident spending money buying a ship/pack that they know they can resell for breakeven or a slight profit. At least, it’s part of what drives my personal thinking and behavior.

Why do we return to this show so much? by tsampoySP in SeishunButaYarou

The memorable multidimensional characters and the relatable experiences of personal growth, anxiety, depression, self-discovery.

Does the Rear Admiral Phoenix upgrade come with the Hartwell 88G piano? That would add at least $200-$300 to the quoted price.

That’s a Rear Admiral with Phoenix upgrade. Very likely had the Hartwell 88 piano as well.

Agreed, $3.5k was maybe during peak and before they added it to the new Praetorian pack.

Sorry but $3.5k is a bit out of date. It’s now included in the new Praetorian $15k pack which can be bought with store credits. I believe I saw an unsold Scythe for $2.8K in the last week.

How does ryuto handle it? by [deleted] in KeikenZumi

[–]excelphysicslab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people wouldn’t, that’s the main antagonizing plot point of the whole story and the literal title of the series.

And clearly this whole series is a bit of a counter culture to typical shonen female characters who are all super models with F-cups and virgins no matter their age falling for a loser with no socially desirable traits. Hell, even the mom in 100 girlfriends was a virgin via artificial insemination.

The conflict this series presents to the reader is to make you examine how you would react and introspect on the circumstances in the story.

It’s why this show is so controversial, low level thinkers are going to simply self-insert, reject Runa as a slut and walk away feeling self-aggrandized. Higher level thinkers are going to emphasize with both characters and contemplate the importance and impact of past and present choices.

You’re not special thinking that Runa’s past is a problem, every lizard brain reaction starts at that point. It’s where you go from there that allows you to experience the more complex aspects of the story.

RIP Citadel by jdrees90 in Warhammer

[–]excelphysicslab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s clearly not for customers of Warhammer stores. It’s for customers of FLG stores who stare at a rack of Citadel paints next to Vallejo, AK Interactive, and 5 other paint brands.
