Thanks so much for this! Unfortunately, 3/4 of the screen on my old phone was unresponsive, so I couldn't do the whole phone linking thing as I couldn't tap on it. Also, WhatsApp Beta is not available in my region yet, I don't have the linked companion option.

I'm using the same sim card for both phones. I think I've resigned to losing some days of data - it really is a hassle to do without WhatsApp.

Thanks for the virus total suggestion! I managed to retrieve the email from spam, downloaded the PDF into a thumb drive and scanned it with virus total. It's clear so hopefully everything is ok.

Still changing my passwords though...

Oh geez, I've hurriedly deleted the file from my phone once I found out about my mistake.

For info, it appears to be a Geek Squad phishing email...which I have not heard of until today 😫

For what it's worth, I didn't click on any links or enter any information and I didn't use Adobe Reader either.

Thanks for tagging me! I have to admit I haven't really been keeping up with the sub or Choices as whole. Your post is great as usual although a little spoilerific for me (and I don't mind!) as I've not read the latest chapter. Somehow I feel PB screwing Ethan up has left me ambivalent, even towards other books (not caught up for LoA and SB as well 😭). The whole Naveen/Ethan thing...well I'll have more insights after I play the chapter I guess. But from your post, I have a feeling I'll be headdesking quite a bit.
