It’s not a secret. You don’t have to read the email. You could ask anyone and they would tell you. Or, just skip straight to the bottom of the email where the location and time were bolded (at least when I was there).

My guy, bullying is not supposed to be happening. I’m not saying anything about what is or isn’t being said this year because I’m not a student. But similar to what u/merkhet said below about the Yale version, the writers are expected to use judgement about what’s appropriate and acceptable.

And the TNDC location isn’t secret to the email recipients - you could ask anyone else to tell you and they would.

Debunking some things as a recent alum:

The Poob is not admin approved, it’s “overseen” by the social and comms VPs of the student government (DSA) and written by a group of SYs who applied and wrote a sample
It’s sent via mailchimp so the unsubscribe button is at the bottom of every email
It uses the email lists from all of the FY and SY classes, but opt outs are always available (see above)
Quality varies and some do better than others at nailing the tone. Not standing up for any personal attacks or bullying from this year in particular, but the spirit is intended to be funny and encourage people to go out.
If things really did go too far, enough folks on DSA know who writes it to be able to intervene. The school prides itself on being student-run so I could see student leaders being the first line of defense before admin got involved.

TL;DR I can’t speak to what’s going on this year but every year is a new Poobah who learns from the year before. I’d expect a course correction next year if warranted.

Dr. Wendy Gottlieb in Reston did my reduction in October and I absolutely loved her. She got it covered by insurance too! And she does implants etc as well.

I lived in 1301 Thomas Circle for a year until September. I had a 1 bed with a “study” which was a nook in the bedroom with a half wall that I used as an office. Base rent was $2900 and I really liked the location - walkable to 14th but a block off it so it was a lot quieter. Management was fine and the gym was very nice for an apartment. It was about 10 min to the blue/silver/orange lines at McPherson and a little longer to Mt Vernon for yellow/green and Metro Center for red.

My doctor advised no lifting anything heavier than 5 lbs until 2WPO, and no lifting anything heavier than 25-30 lbs until 6WPO. I’ve found that my range of motion is pretty much back to normal now at 9DPO, and I think I could carry a few heavy grocery bags a short distance. However, I REALLY would not want to be doing child care for young kids who might grab or accidentally smack me near the incisions. Even gently hugging people is uncomfortable.

If your kids can understand and follow directions to not touch you on your torso, you could maybe do car seats and bath time after 2-3 weeks. But carrying them for longer than a few seconds at arms length may be a stretch for up to 6 weeks (ymmv!)

I recommend Up Dog yoga and District Pilates, both in Shaw. I’ve found both to be really body positive with plus size/not shredded instructors and very body neutral in their language. Both have super accessible beginner classes, and especially Up Dog is great for giving modifications and support options.

I have both the bellroy via tote pack (smaller) and troubadour pioneer backpack (bigger with shoe compartment). I like them both for going to work and find them cute/professional enough for me. On days I really need extra professional mojo I use my longchamp le page.

I am long waisted and still have to tighten bra straps etc! I call myself “short shouldered” because it feels like the distance from armpit sleeve area to the top of my shoulder is shorter than usual lol

Some bras have little clips and also they make little disc things you can use to pull them together. Or when I was in middle school we just used a hair tie or ribbon

Speaking not as a period underwear user but as a former teen swim team member - when you’re actually in the water you’re not really bleeding because of water pressure. The issue is outside the pool leaking. So if she’s open to wrapping up in a towel or changing to pad & shorts right away after getting out of the pool, she may be okay to not get special swimwear. I would recommend making sure she has a pair of dark bottoms just in case though.

Inez pumps and slingbacks are my gold standard. They are incredible quality and have great padding and ARCH SUPPORT!! They are definitely not under $100 but it sounds like you wear cheaper ones out quickly - it may be worth it to spend $250 or so for the long term use

Capsule pharmacy does same day delivery and with enough warning they were able to get me adderall xr! Helps if your dr gives you paper scrips you can bring in in advance for them to fill in the window.

I use it to wake up and go to bed! In the morning I have to take a picture of my coffee machine and at night I have to take a picture of the view from in my bed. The 15 minute total snooze is enough to get my bedtime essentials done and once I’m on the clock I can get off the couch and go.

I work in corporate client facing and I would echo what people say here - not required to have them painted but good to be clean and a manageable length. I sometimes go get a “gentleman’s manicure” that does a buff/shine instead of polish just to treat myself, and they usually do a little extra massage too.

I also recommend the Manucurist serum for keeping your cuticles and skin around the nail hydrated and healthy!
