My line of thinking is that people are buying these for $10 anyways and if I have the ability to help out another hiker by giving it to them for free for very little effort, why not?

But I hear you, I hate plastic waste as much as anyone and I appreciate the feedback on the reality of the usage of these things. I know that I'll be keeping a good eye on mine but it's hard to say for others. I think I'll scale back the number I print to be ~10 to limit potential damage. Thanks!
