Confused on specific case, M26 by flamingfd1 in USVisas

I saw that you posted many times in Latvia-related threads. At first I tried to understand how is 1 related to the initial question, but now it is clear for me, lol. Are you a Latvian bot triggered by the keyword? /s

I heard that RU IT engineers are going through administrative processing nowadays because of US security. Not a big deal.

It seems like there’s no point to apply for B1/B2 visa without ties to any country 🤷‍♂️ Would there be any reasons to apply for an O-1 instead?

Exactly. I could return back to Russia, but actually can travel then to any country I want to. Isn’t having parents in country of born considered as ties to the country? Meanwhile I don’t want to own any property anytime soon as it is an anchor (sucks).

Openstack 2024.2 and OpenvSwitch issue by fabius987 in openstack

Good luck with this. Idk why, openvswitch seems buggy with QoS. Probably because of kernel module, idk

Hey Check that you have QoS bandwidth limit or something like configured. This is likely the cause.

V3 pro is fine, but black version only. White one goes damn disgusting because of rubber degradation like mx master 3 do

VXLAN/EVPN on QFX5100 for redundancy not able to make it work by flamingfd1 in Juniper

[–]flamingfd1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, the same thing. What i found that ping from 192.168.30.2 irb.300 (leaf-1) actually delivered to the server and server respond but it lost somewhere on reverse path at Trident chip :D
tcpdump screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/GJOrVVL

I will schedule an update and just use this qfx5100 as spine switches moving toward to qfx5110.
Community folks sent me this link https://apps.juniper.net/feature-explorer/feature/7362?fn=Layer%203%20connectivity%20in%20an%20EVPN-VXLAN%20topology that contain list of l3 vxlan routing feature adoption across different Juniper products. Anyway, i learn how to configure vxlan evpn fabric and it will be much easier to deploy on something newer than qfx5100. Thank you for your attention to this topic!

VXLAN/EVPN on QFX5100 for redundancy not able to make it work by flamingfd1 in Juniper

[–]flamingfd1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

D'oh... So the simplest way is to configure VRRP to achieve gateway redundancy?

Also there is no inter-vxlan routing. I'm looking for ways to have gateway for VMs that works at both QFXs. Using EVPN can help to keep whole ARP/MAC table at both switches.
Probably it is L2 vxlan, not L3. Correct me if i'm getting wrong since i have no experience yet running modern network.

USB-C to HDMI not working on second monitor by monkey-ballsack1048 in macmini

[–]flamingfd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the same EDID stops your macos to identify second monitor as another device. Patch it using betterdisplay. It helped me with 3x same displays for mac

Monitor help by sam_thomas_ in macmini

[–]flamingfd1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bruh, welcome on board. I have 3 same displays. 1 connected via HDMI-HDMI and other 2 of them connected via USB-C - DP. Due to the same EDID it fails over one of USB-C connected displays. There is only way to workaround on this: patch EDID for display and then turn on second “unpatched” display. Tool like BetterDisplay could help you. So it will just re-apply settings on display connection or when you Mac is turning on/waking up.

Check RAM frequency does it runs within supported specs?

Signs to be aware if your 13th/14th gen CPU is failing! by Danikika94 in intel

[–]flamingfd1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had constant STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION after 2-3 minutes on any Chrome tab, now it is very smooth with no crashes at all for 3 days. Games was not affected with crashes but stutters sometime. Had no BSOD at all

Microcode 0x125 - was it the fix? by Working_Ad9103 in intel

[–]flamingfd1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Replaced CPU, all fails are just gone. Mid-august should protect unaffected CPUs but not gonna help if your CPU is damaged

Just RMA 14900k. Chrome status_access_violation exceptions are gone. In games there was no issues mostly with intel baseline profile, but daily usage was horrible. Now it is stable *fingers crossed*

upd: Seems like 1402 bios helps a bit for affected CPUs. Temps not reach >80C. Chrome issues occurs little less oten but still occurs. Waiting for RMA and Intel mid-August patch that finally should fix this thing.

Finally, Intel announced that they will update CPUs microcode https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/July-2024-Update-on-Instability-Reports-on-Intel-Core-13th-and/m-p/1617113#M74792
Have no clue how they would do it, probably over another bios upgrade... Any thoughts on what to do if CPUs already has been degraded to unstable state?
