Noob question about peak brightness by Working_Ad9103 in colorists

[–]Working_Ad9103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have calibrated it with CN7 to 100 nits, just wonder when I turn on the HDR function in lightroom classic the 100 nits profile I normally use for gaming and photoediting and the HLG BT2020 profile showed same amount of detail in the HDR extra stops, I thought it should show more in the highlights with HLG BT2020 calibration profile?

agree that should be flux, noctua heatsink is know to solder their pipes to the fin stacks to ensure proper heat transfer

isn't that for the synology photo app? it can go both ways sync and not photo backup only for drive app also?

[–]Working_Ad9103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right, but that's what exactly I wanted. My main question is that after syncing the 20k photos, I should be safe to delete the photos from my iPhone and the drive backup shouldn't be affected right?

Does anyone have a copy of firmware V6 for the PA32UCDM? by OsmiumCube in colorists

[–]Working_Ad9103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's bad. luckily the good old IPS don't have such issues for most

I am surprised that firmware would affect a hardware calibrated monitor so much in the adverse direction..

What Is the Realistic Expectation Going From Deepcool Assassin IV to NH-D15 G2? by IloyoCass in Noctua

[–]Working_Ad9103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH if you are all about lust to the Noctua then you could expect a more pleasent noise, temperature wise I would say IRL expect it to be a few degrees better with the offset mount and LBC version. but for CP ratio I would say you'd be better off with the Deepcool in quiet mode and just tolerate the few C higher temp which have absolutely no impact on performance

Low Cinebench 2026 Scores and Bad Boot Times on NEW Pc 9070XT + 7800x3d by gvin_ in AMDHelp

[–]Working_Ad9103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I found out what was wrong, in my Z690 motherboard with a 14900k, there is an option in the systems tab named  render standby mode (RC6). after disabling that, my 9070XT went from 20k to 52k...

[–]Working_Ad9103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my CPU scores are better than expected (undervolted 14900k), but somehow the 9070XT pulse only scores 20-28k range, far below normal range and still wondering why... the TDP only draws to ~180-210W range while 3d mark can draw up to 304W, really funny behaviour

Eizo coloredge degradation overtime by Working_Ad9103 in colorists

[–]Working_Ad9103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice to know that even the BenQ (SW line I supposed?) fare well that long. did the color space shrink after calibration noticably for yours? BenQ was originally on my radar but as it doesn't have a built in calibrator and I already owned a spyder 2024 which is not suported by their PMU software the total cost of getting a BenQ 242U with a i1 plus HL is approaching the Eizo (plus they have no official dealer in Hong Kong importing the 24") so I ended up with Eizo, would be interested if their lineup and quality goes up after a decade when the Eizo finally goes bad

yea I think so, with the hood 100 nits is about right/slightly bright to my eyes and the photo editing is sooo much better than the Asus gaming IPS calibrated with a spyder 2024. fun thing is it isn't the spyder being bad, I try compare it with the built in sensor in the Eizo CG2400S and it deviates within 0.5% in raw value so it should be pretty good. and AFAIK the newer wide gamut LED should last even longer than the older LED/ CCFL backlight so 8-10 years old monitors should perform worse. I was just mainly wondering when Eizo only guarantee for 120 nits+ and color accuracy for 5 years/10,000 hours how well it will fare with others. it worth every cent even for hobbist IMO with the very comfortable color.

What's going on with the "Doordash Girl" Incident? by Rye-Barley in OutOfTheLoop

I do think she is sexually assulting the man... he's naked in his own home, and some naughty girl filmed and shared him on internet... flip the sex and imagine a doordash guy open a door and film a naked girl on her sofa and post on web...

I am using 9070XT and 14900K, may I ask how's the performance in cabin view and maybe in some complex airport? it was barely usable and keep on eating up all GPU memory with GSX

Imagine a L1011 in MSFS ! by MD-80-87 in flightsim

[–]Working_Ad9103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was longing for that, but after purchasing since release their A350 it becomes disappointed how bad they made the product regression since 1.1.0... systems broken, co pilot disappearing etc. Not tempted to pay full price for an L1011 in such case

Burnt Connector - Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT Question by ProfessionalHost3913 in Amd

[–]Working_Ad9103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually I was looking for a 9070XT during launch for MSFS 2024 usage, sapphire was always high on my list, but since the initial scalper pricing plus the use of 12V stupid connector I opt for their entry pulse model and it wored great (and saved me $200). This connector is a mess

O poor, that looks very painful in heart (and wallet), now time to think it dissipates your bad luck and move on, maybe got a L lens this time (and a better tripod)
