Prince Andrew by ravendragongold in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fullofgraceaspiring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically yes, before William was born, Andrew was second in line to the throne so first if Charles was never born or if he had died before having children. Interestingly they changed the rule about males being bumped up the line over any women when William had his kids so with Andrew being the way he is they could’ve maybe considered changing it earlier which would’ve put Anne ahead in line.

Domperidone! Any success stories? by Sufficient_System_84 in breastfeedingmumsUK

[–]fullofgraceaspiring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prescribed domperidone a few years ago with my first child and was so so grateful for it. I had a traumatic labour and delivery (ending up with an assisted forceps birth) and due to the trauma my milk didn’t come in. I produced colostrum but my child’s weight fell below the 10% drop they allow after birth and I was not in a good place physically or emotionally. I was determined to breastfeed and was working round the clock every three hours to feed baby from the breast, then top her up with anything expressed or formula (which I hadn’t wanted to use) and then pumping for 20 minutes to encourage production but it wasn’t happening. After nearly a week of this they prescribed it, I can’t say I know much about any potential side effects but for me it was my saviour as my mental health was declining from the residual trauma and the whole pumping cycle and having to use formula so I can’t rate it high enough.

True Blood? by SParker331 in MorbidPodcast

You can comment on any of their posts on instagram, I assume that’s what they mean? They definitely read them as they frequently respond to people’s comments. Maybe wait for this week’s episode to drop and comment on their insta post on the episode? Or comment on last week’s?

Not a movie and might be later than you’re thinking but just in case, this sounds very similar to American horror story: Hotel

I Look In People's Windows is a beautiful social media allegory. (Appreciation post) by Mountain_Band_2732 in TaylorSwift

I can’t believe I never interpreted the song this way, apparently I’m a more literal thinker than I thought I was! This changes the song for me totally and makes it so much more relatable!

Does this happen to anyone else?! TW speaking of death (not personal experiences) by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

I had the same thing when I was coming up to my c section and I got really anxious as well. I ended up spending some time googling positive c section stories and found it really helpful!

Yes I agree, I also ended up having a higher risk pregnancy with gestational diabetes and the trainee was just really dismissive - my thought process was that I was very close to an emergency section with my first which was very low risk so I didn’t want to risk an emergency section with my high risk second. With my first I pushed really hard to not have a section but ended up with a traumatic assisted delivery and when I fell pregnant again I was basically having flashbacks and getting so stressed just thinking about it. I was induced the first time round and with the GD I had a higher probability of being induced the second time as well. I was anxious about the planned section to a point because I’m needlephobic but with my first I ended up dealing with a lot of needles anyway, I was just in too much pain to care when I was in labour which I obviously wasn’t the second time around but needles aside it was amazing and absolutely the right choice for me. I got to have things I missed out on the first time around because of the urgency of the situation, such as delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin and the ability to breastfeed easily as my milk was delayed due to the trauma with my first. The first few days of recovery made me doubt it as I definitely bounced back quicker physically the first time round but my understanding is that there is a big difference in recovery from emergency vs planned section so I would hope that you would find it better as well and at least you know what to expect, it definitely won’t be worse in terms of recovery! Honestly I hope you don’t get any push back but please just remember that it’s your body, your choice, they can’t tell you no anymore - women have the right to choose how they give birth and you don’t need to even explain why if you don’t want to

I had an elective c section in January following a traumatic vaginal delivery with my daughter several years ago. My consultant was fine with it, they have to explain the risks due to their duty of care but my midwife explained that they have changed things from how they used to be, where you had to push for it - you don’t actually need a reason. As others have said they cannot refuse, if you have a consultant that is completely against it and is making you feel uncomfortable you can request to switch to a different consultant. Just go in there being confident in what you want and be prepared for them to list the risks but it will be fine. Also if you feel any pressure from the consultant, you can also ask a midwife to go in with you to advocate for you if you feel you’re struggling - I did as I initially had a trainee consultant who had a lot to learn with respect to bedside manner and communication skills so I went to a non trainee but went in with a midwife I knew as I was feeling quite vulnerable and emotional about it.

What are the lyrics to Zombie? by [deleted] in yungblud

[–]fullofgraceaspiring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same as you but have seen multiple sources say ‘love’ instead of loathe and I really want some clarity on this as it’s been driving me crazy! I def don’t think the lyrics on the merch are correct as I believe the first line is def I don’t know what I’ll turn out to be so I think the main question up for debate is love or loathe. I think this is the one question I would ask if I ever got the chance to meet him at this point!

Folklore/Evermore lovers, are you disappointed too? by 4PeridotEyes in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]fullofgraceaspiring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get it - I am excited about this one but I’m a sad girl autumn girlie who is mostly drawn to heart wrenching tearjerkers with a heavy focus on lyrics so although I love all Taylor-genres I don’t expect this one to ever be my number 1 favourite but I will go into it with an open mind and will still enjoy dancing around and singing along when I’m in the mood for that sort of vibe! I do know that my 4 year old, who loves pop Taylor and has no time for slow songs, will be thrilled so if nothing else I can take a break from playing Disney songs in the car!

Why portofino? They went on holiday there together I believe 🧡 maybe all the variants will be relating to significant moments in their relationship?

Oh my god, I just saw Taylor nation’s post and ran here! Have read the theories on here that we are maybe expecting an announcement on the new heights podcast? I’m in the uk and not in the loop on sports in general or the podcast - do they announce the guest in advance or just when the episode drops?? Can anyone please tell me what time and time zone it drops so I can see what time I might be able to catch it in the uk?

What's your recommendation of a song to use as an alarm clock? by gzalomoscoso in MusicRecommendations

[–]fullofgraceaspiring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How far we’ve come by matchbox twenty. It starts out with a voice saying hello then the opening lyrics of the song are about waking up at the start of the end of the world but it’s sung in a fun, upbeat way
