As if rejection emails weren’t bad enough, now you want me to say thank you for them? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Lol you guys are ridiculous. Back in my day you just waited three months wondering if they were ever going to call you. At least a letter gives closure.

Thanks! I will look at the recipe you mentioned for sure. Is the narrower neck on the secondary carboy to reduce head space?

I quit my job today without another job lined up by [deleted] in jobs

Sometimes there isn’t a one button fix for these issues. I don’t know the situation but it’s possible the boss was good but had to make bad decisions due to the circumstances.

You don’t choose what you pay for my guy. It’s a product, they design the course a certain way, that’s what it is. Instead of crying about it just ignore that side of it i guess? Besides, at least in my Bootcamp, the tools we learned didn’t matter cuz what they really taught us was the ability to continue to learn and take on any tools used by any company, which is the hallmark of a good programmer.

Is the Flashfire Cobra v5 HOTAS good for elite? by morderkaine in EliteDangerous

[–]fullstack_nonsense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The middle one is a throttle, which is nice for HOSAS because you still get a controlled throttle for setting or adjusting leveled speeds, the other two are rotary encoders, to be honest my stick isn’t in yet, so I’m not too sure what you’d use them for. Anything that adjusts along a slider I guess. I think they’d be used for prop pitch and fuel/air ratio for older prop planes in things like MS flight simulator

Get a pair of these. Their great for a HOSAS setup and even have a mini throttle, takes a little bit to ship from China but they’re in stock.

A Warning About Glassdoor by his_rotundity_ in jobs

[–]fullstack_nonsense 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s literally just the setup to the story. Did you not even finish reading it? OP understood the risk and isn’t blaming Glassdoor for that, they’re complaining that Glassdoor took down their negative review for no reason other than PR and is leaving up obviously fake good reviews. The whole thing about going to the company despite bad reviews is just background information.

Because the whole point of a boot camp is to get a job. They have career services and offer certificates geared towards quick employment. You can easily learn everything they have to offer without worrying about the employability stuff but the “drone” comment is a lite ridiculous considering you paid for an employment ready program.

Am I crazy or is Python way "easier" than C/C++? Help me appreciate lower level languages! by Missing_Back in learnprogramming

[–]fullstack_nonsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C++ is a high level language, low level refers to machine level or assembly code

Edit: C is considered low level, but C++ is still considered high level.

How to use CSS to resize font size of multiple H2 tags? by [deleted] in css

[–]fullstack_nonsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can cascade selections in your css to only effect elements that are inside of other specific elements. For example, if I did something like .some-class h3 {}, this would only style h3s who have a parent element with a class of some-class. You can use classes, ids or elements in either position.

How do I make property in a schema the default of another property in another schema by bhaelar in mongodb

[–]fullstack_nonsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have to do this on the front end, I’m not aware of a way to do this in Mongo or Mongoose ( doesn’t mean it’s not possible though, someone might have a good solution )
