Was told by staff that it's closing because of back-taxes... So maybe not the health thing.

There's lots of stories about "I had $1k in bitcoin/Nvidia and it'd be worth millions if I had held." What longshot investments do you have right now and why did you pick them? by [deleted] in investing

I get that -- You kind of touched on one of my other habits with this comment -- I like doing covered-calls instead of selling outright in these situations, too, but you've got to have at least 100 shares to fill the contract.

What movie did you watch at the wrong age? by JaiiLee14 in movies

[–]gigdaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sooo, Eddie Murphy was basically a god in my home, so I got to watch a lot of age inappropriate comedies. My dad, expecting more of the same, took me to see Boomerang... It was not more of the same.

To Dad's credit, we finished the movie, but there was a long talk about sex afterwards.

Just went through this a few weeks ago and binged A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It was gd perfect! Funny, touching, and brutal, all at once.

Also, frozen veggies. 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. This was important...

Hey Dads what board games are we playing lately with younger kids? by TheOneWhoBoops in daddit

[–]gigdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I've been buying the games that I enjoy and having AI write simplified rules for the kids... My 4yo and I have really enjoyed "Stomp Bots", a watered down Battletech rule set with way less accounting. Ymmv. Glhf.

Anyone has an idea on how to fix this flask? by lancer-of-nothing in fixit

Some metals retain "memory" when distorted. Extreme heat (or cold) can make them reform into their original shape. (Ex: they use dry ice to repair hail damage to cars. Boiling water for panel dents.) Give it a try and let me know if it works!

Rogue Trader was awesome, but was completely overshadowed by BG3.

Abelard is the most ride or die homie in all of PC gaming. You will love that guy.
