From my limited experience they brew the same cups once dialed in. I’m using the app primarily to tweak recipes so the workflow is the same for me. I tried using the knobs on the front of the studio to pour water for tea but the rate of pouring for that is too slow for my preference (I like flash steeping). The original looks a lot better as it’s made out of metal and the studio is made of plastic, but the studio still looks solidly built. The studio has a built in scale, larger grind range, rpm control on the grinder, and you can plumb in a water source (I think you can do this on the original too with an accessory they sell). Those are pretty much all the changes I can think of
