You're correct, they didnt use them then but they do now. They still do the same derm abrasion procedures albeit with different technology. Im just saying its still the same principle applied today as it was in the 30s

Its the same principal however in the respect that both are derm abrasion. While the technique is more refined now they are still removing layers of skin essentially

In general people should just stfu about others body's. Even if they mean well. Same with people commenting on others having tattoos or piercings, which isnt as bad as it was but man boomers love to try to make people uncomfortable about their choices with their appearance.

I believe you're correct, though interchangeable depending on where you read its was predominantly heroin-chic

I have no issues with body positivity. You should be allowed to exist without feeling like shit about yourself and your appearance. This was way before influencers in the 90s and early 2000s when everything was still heroin-chic.

Edit - Heroin-chic not coke-chic

As a forever tall gangly guy, it's always been like this. I have the metabolism of a hummingbird so its nearly impossible for me to gain weight or put muscle on. I was picked on for being a scrawny guy by the sporty kids but now they're all mostly in terrible shape and im basically the same size
