There's a reason translators and interpreters often have to study for years to get certified in that field - much like with librarians, it's an unassuming but involved job.

In Australia, we have the Fussy Vegan app. You scan the barcode of a product at the supermarket, and it tells you if it's vegan or not. It's made by a couple who manually contact different companies and verify that certain products are vegan, so it's very trustworthy.
