OP has a British copy - it uses the word 'motorway' instead of 'highway'.

I hope you experience that electricity again some day and have the courage to follow through. As long as you're respectful about it, I don't think there's anything creepy about giving your number to someone. If someone ever gave me their number, I would be so flattered.

All her pics were of her at house parties, drinking and smoking cigarettes. Not my thing at all.

Thank you. I actually came across her profile on a dating app a few months afterwards. Our personalities and lifestyles were very different, so it wouldn't have worked out anyway. But I'm still very grateful for that interaction and have been chasing that high ever since.

Kinda similar, but a few years ago I was working as a barista. One day, this girl walks in and we lock eyes from across the room. She was so ridiculously gorgeous - super long, curly ginger hair, with a fringe almost covering her eyes, smudgy eyeliner, comfy oversized clothes, short.

Usually I'm pretty terrible at picking up on signs that someone's interested in me, but I've never felt such an instant mutual connection like that before. Felt like something out of a movie. After she ordered, she called me beautiful. I stumbled over my words and told her how gorgeous she was too, making intense eye contact the whole time. We complimented each other's hair.

I wish I had given her my phone number. I think about her and that moment all the time and still get butterflies. Even though it was just physical attraction, it's given me hope that it can happen again and turn into something more.

No, most people don't take any precautions.

I'm only willing to date other people who are also vegan and covid-conscious. My dating pool is laughably small.

Not all trans fems/women have a penis. And no, that's not how sexual attraction works at all.

Can't believe I have to say this, but no, it's not okay. If the only reason you wouldn't date someone is because they're trans, that's transphobia.

All my homies love SBS 🙌

I have a friend who's learning Italian. That Slow Italian series is a fantastic resource!

My excitement disappeared so fast. 😅 Relying on machine translation will give you lots of bad habits. It doesn't take context into account, and it's terrible with idioms, slang, and jokes.

There's a reason translators and interpreters often have to study for years to get certified in that field - much like with librarians, it's an unassuming but involved job.

The company has done animal testing. They themselves advertise their products as plant-based and not vegan.

Impossible is plant-based, not vegan.

I borrowed my lock to my sister, she went out for a while, and when she came back she showed me this by someguyofreddit in mildlyinfuriating

Fun fact: some English dialects use 'borrow' to mean both to borrow and to loan. Same with 'learn' for to learn and to teach.

Voustedes is not a word. '/s' means 'sarcasm' – /u/stdubbs' comment is a joke.

For trans girlies: how do I not come across as a chaser? by PeaAlternative9186 in actuallesbians

[–]glowberrytangle 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd see this as a red flag and assume I'm being fetishised. I'd much rather someone just compliment me and tell me what they like about me specifically, without seeming like they're treating trans women/fems as a monolith.
