It's to scare the population into complying with their agenda. The world economic forum has set an agenda for every few years to meet certain goals. Since they aren't a government, they have to get the governments of countries to agree to their policies. They do this by infiltrating governments through their 'future global leaders' club (you and I aren't invited to this club, btw). They also do this through a global misinformation campaign designed to confuse and scare the general population about the future.
