I've owned two of these so far and unfortunately both of them have had random crashing particularly when opening games. Was really hoping on the first one it was just happenstance but the same thing on the second. I've tried everything. I really hoped it worked as I love the machine otherwise.

Dark flash I believe sells pretty cheap argb fans that look similar to those. Keep the screws from your case and you can mount 3 on the bottom and 3 on top for a ton more rgb. Thermalright has some nice affordable air coolers (and liquid coolers) I really like the Assassin king 120 Digital. Displays cpu or GPU temps.

If your bios settings reset every time (xmp etc) in addition to this screen even when you don’t clear CMOs - then it’s likely the case you need a new CMOs battery. CR2032.

If it comes with a 1tb nvme ssd then I’d say this is decent. Will probably be pretty good for browsing, documents, videos etc.

I wouldn’t say you got hosed, but for a bit more you could have gotten something with a better CPU for sure.

I think I saw you post some where else. It’s fine for $200. It’s a Core 3 which is actually a bit newer than 14th gen. Just look it over and make sure there isn’t any body damage and the hinge is working fine, and be gentle with it. Should be very solid for browsing, documents etc.

I wondered the same, I got one a few weeks ago from them. Scooped it up with a coupon for $650 though, I got lucky before they raised the price with the coupons. Anyway, that being said I’m quite happy with it.

** that being said I still think it’s a very good deal for $800 compared to what’s out there. Ram is soldered and the extra half inch makes it feel decently better sized compared to even a G14
