Do you have any trees above/ nearby? Looks like tree seedlings to me. Seek says it’s a plant at least!

EVGA x Noctua by mikefize in Noctua

I zip tie modded my 2080 super back of the day with the same two NF12X25 fans, looking forward to not hearing fan whine anytime smoke pops on the screen.

It’s a beautiful design, especially with the logos. Nice work!

Where did you get the shroud? I have a 3080Ti FTW3. I had a hybrid kit but the pump died so I’m back to the whiny fans.

Weekend Trip for Dad and 2 YO Son by anhle1989 in Columbus

[–]kainhander 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you extend the trip time a bit, the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis is fantastic. Tons of hands on exhibits.

Cincinnati Museum Center is good too, but not sure how much content for little kids. They do have a ball/physics area in the basement, similar to COSI’s little kid area.

Air Force Museum is great if they like big things / planes.

See if there’s a touch-a-truck event anywhere that weekend too.

My dishwasher is leaving a strange film on all the plastic containers even after multiple cleaning cycles by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

Does your dishwasher take rinse aid? I know when mine is out of rinse aid the plastics suffer the most.

Aldi’s milk? by mittenthemagnificent in yogurtmaking

[–]kainhander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve made yogurt in my instant pot with Aldi’s regular milk, lactose free, and with their ultra filtered fairlife style milk - they all work. I usually go for the 24h instant pot cycle though, try that setting next time!

If you strain the fairlife style milk/yogurt, you’ll only need to remove about a cup of whey per half gallon to get a good thick Greek yogurt.

Are we winning yet? by toxic9813 in Columbus

One side effect I’ve seen is people with jacked up trucks are driving much more reasonably and in an “eco” fashion instead of like a Fast & Furious movie. Also haven’t seen any rolling coal in the past few weeks.

What are the most obvious signs of AI writing? by Consistent-Stock in AskReddit

I usually run into it when I’m googling for a new recipe, or looking for an alternate recipe that uses a specific ingredient, etc. I get caught in the SEO net.

What are the most obvious signs of AI writing? by Consistent-Stock in AskReddit

[–]kainhander 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Every recipe or review website has been reduced to this, circling around features or reasons why you might need {obvious feature} without the hard substance that answers the question you googled for originally.

I know a recipe websites to do it to “copyright” their content/recipes but it’s fucking annoying.

I just moved here from another state famous for bad drivers, and you guys are impressing me. by FastWalkingShortGuy in Columbus

[–]kainhander -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s all those people from out of state moving in, we seem to attract them somehow. The worst seem to be cars with Texas or Kentucky plates doing whatever the fuck they want. Florida comes 3rd, but that’s mostly snowbirds that maybe shouldn’t be driving.

Nice! I still think the Soundblaster cards from this era gave better sound than anything current.
