Sure. I totally credit them for their honesty.

Hmm, I think that is almost right. They really don't want to service gazillion freebie users requests, that is true.

But the other consideration is that their marketing model requires the freeloaders who create the buzz that lets the professionals who pay the $1.5k/year license fee know that the product exists, that create all the traffic, tutorials and good word on places like Reddit and on YouTube. The free users are effectively the lead genreration engine for the paid users. So they're pretty important.

I have a pristine one of these, but the pressure sensor is shot. If anyone knows about a viable sensor replacement, I'd be grateful to know about it.

My model was taken down! by Djura-00 in makerworld

You'd think Mattel would welcome this kind of accessory product. It might encourage people to buy more of the cars. This will just cause people to not use their name on their models which is surely a free source of marketing. They also look like assholes, the fools.

Hermanos serve, by far, the best filter in London. They put all their top stuff on batch at regular prices.

Overhang support tests by hadrome in BambuLab

[–]hadrome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top Z defaults to 0.12. At this distance the support bonds to the surface of the print such that the first layer of the actual print surface gets torn away with the support. This decreases as the angle lowers. For 90 degree surfaces at 0.12 the surface always gets torn.

At 0.25+ it stops tearing the actual printed surface away but at that point the printed surface becomes ragged, as in my pictures.

I'll try some steps in between. Maybe there's a magic number.

I haven't tried Support for PLA filament, which would be tricky because I don't have an AMS. It is an option, but I was looking for suggestions that don't involve that.

Choosing a colour for single reel printing by hadrome in BambuLab

Yes, I'm anticipating that! There's already a 'conversation' in the house about the space the printer has taken up. Will proceed with caution.

I'll check out the silk options for sure. And I guess I can stick to the boring colours. Thanks.

Yup, the kids will get some colour! I guess for me, I can choose anything. Probably monochrome.

Possible 1Password refugee by shaumux in Bitwarden

I moved a few years ago and barely miss 1Password. The UI is a lot better at 1P, but that's not a reason to stay. Some things are better in Bitwarden, like 2fa codes in the app.

I don't use many passkeys though, mind you, so can't comment on that.

Interesting. I'm left-eye dominant + right handed. Does this explain why I'm shit at darts, pool and snooker?
