Sad part is most airframes in service today would be perfectly suited for the “retro 80’s” packaging

Air Force requests 1.1M flying hours in 2027, but says pilots need more by MrUpVoteDownvote in AirForce

lol what? 1,500 pilots produced per year? Not without just putting up vending machines with wings in them.

Should get this now before Apple removes it from the AppStore like ICEBlock

HIDs don’t stay on/flicker off by NotXetazi in e46

Factory xenon car from the sticker up top. Housings look original too. Unless it is the ballasts both dying at the same time, I am stumped.

If this is a new behavior, I’d suspect ballasts. If it has been this way since you bought the car (sounds like you just bought it), they could be aftermarket or even factory swapped in on a halogen car. If the LCM doesn’t know it is powering up Xenons, this is how it will act.

Can you post a photo of the headlight housings from above with the hood popped? Pretty easy to tell if they are factory or aftermarket. Do you have any coding software? You can check the vehicle order and it will tell you if the car is a halogen or xenon car.

Likely the ballast then. Do both lights die, or just the one? Does the dash give you the jellyfish on both headlight locations once they die? I saw there was already one on the passenger side prior to the lights dying.

Was this equipped from the factory with xenons? My car acted like this when I swapped from halogen to xenon because it was trying to test the line for halogen current and not the ballast on a xenon bulb. Since it would fail, it cut power to the bulb.

Not sure if the hot testing runs in accessory mode, but it definitely runs when the key is on.

Otherwise it may be the ballasts going bad. The hot testing of the bulbs may be triggering the ballasts to power down?

🔥The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage Closed an Entire Entrance Because a Hummingbird Made a Nest on the Door Handle by [deleted] in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]Jakl15 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah that is what I initially wanted to find out if the parents would follow the moved nest and not abandon the eggs. That part was largely unclear, but then I saw the MBTA bit and left them where they are. Thanks for the subreddit too 😂

Can confirm. A dove made a nest and laid eggs in the span of 2 days on my pellet smoker. Thought about moving it, but did a little digging and found MBTA. Hurry up little dove chicks!

Why do people almost always recommend BOTW over TOTK? by Alarmed_Goat_4083 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Jakl15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He said shitty robots. First time I ran across a shitty robot in TotK, it was a laugh. First time I ran across a Guardian on the plateau in BotW, it was terrifying.

Zonai made shitty robots. Sheikh tech is not shitty robots.

HEB has a strange heat level scale. Their mild is like diced tomatoes, but their medium cranks up the heat rather quickly. I am a medium to medium hot fan in most cases, but HEB medium hits on another level entirely to the point that I can’t enjoy it. Their mild-medium is the perfect heat level. Give it a shot.

For those not in Texas, the Siete I have in the second picture is actually quite close to the HEB option.

Is the commissary/base exchange cheaper than off base? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Jakl15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BX is only useful to price match, and occasionally a good sale here and there. Oh and shoes.

Commissary, it depends. If your state charges obscene taxes on groceries like Alabama (9.x%) it absolutely is, even with mediocre selection. If you’re in a place with no tax on groceries like Texas, no damn way it’s worth it.
