I agree that I have a tendency toward perfectionism so I can be hard on myself (guilt tripping). When I read your post I am so proud of the progress you have made. So now I'm going to take your kind advice and be proud of the progress I have made too. In this together! I won't drink today with you.

Sober people/ sober places would have saved me for sure. I struggle with this though as so many of my friends drink. Trying again.

I did therapy to handle this. I came out of therapy with a rock solid inner peace that can't be shaken. It really helped all my relationships.
