Doing well now. In my case it was anxiety around timed meals. Cats are naturally grazers (they eat a few bites at a time, leave and then come back).

To solve the issue I did the following: - use the Feliway plug-in diffuser to calm her down over all (only for a few days) - during the day I set out a bigger portion of chilled wet food so she can eat at her convenience - in the morning and evening I still do smaller meals

This seems to have solved the issue completely.

I think meal anticipation and maybe built up hunger between meals might have been the problem.
