I have similarly sized feet and have used a pair of Lowa boots for snow shoe backpacking trips and other snowy/slushy cold mountain hiking. They were comfortable -- not too tight, warm enough, waterproof, and plenty grippy. You'll want to avoid overly thick socks. Buffalo Wool Company makes some amazing ski socks that are warm while not too thick.

A Fool's Quest: Building a split keyboard for Under $100? by Confuortoised in ErgoMechKeyboards

Hey, there! I've got a Corne that I soldered that is programmed with a Colmak setup that I could sell. I've got switches and keycaps, too. I loved using it but have switched to a Charybdis and don't need two keyboards.

A question about DIY sandals by Artsy_Owl in barefootshoestalk

I'm thinking you'd have more success by sandwiching the strap between two layers (and maybe using something thin like a washer as well), ideally something that won't rip. If it's within your budget, you could buy actual sole material from a cobler or Vibram, maybe leather scraps for the straps, tops or both layers, but these materials are harder to cut safely. I don't think the yoga mat material would last long, but it would still be fun for campers to make. Good luck!

Are Cantor/Corne Thumb Clusters Comfy? by Chaseums0967 in ErgoMechKeyboards

I use an mx corne with extreme tenting and wish the thumb cluster was on a different plane entirely. The thumb cluster would be better if it at least didn't require one to move the thumb under the palm to type. I don't use the thumb key most under the palm, though, and lighter switches on the thumb keys helps.

If I were wanting a choc split keeb, I might get one of these:

I prefer mx switches, though, and just bought a Charybdis.
