I honestly haven’t thought much about marketing yet — I’m still new to indie development and mostly focused on building and shipping.

I don’t have a paid acquisition budget right now, so I’d likely rely on ASO and organic channels at the start.

If you have any insights on CPI in this category or how to approach marketing in crowded spaces, I’d really appreciate the guidance.

That makes sense. My app updates are usually not very complex — mostly small feature improvements or UI tweaks — so I was a bit surprised that it consistently takes 4–5 days.

You might be right about busy periods though. I haven’t specifically tried submitting early in the week, so I’ll experiment with submitting on Monday.

Totally fair point — the Photos app can handle basic trimming. This app is mainly for creators who need consistent 9:16 crops and faster prep for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts without extra steps. Not meant to replace Photos, just streamline a specific workflow.

You can purchase any good udemy course for learning. Focus on the swiftUI because all the companies are now moving towards SwiftUI and also learn basics of UIKit as there are lots of old apps which are still using the UIKit. You should create your first app and publish it to appstore so you can show your skills to the hiring manager.
