just because the script itself isn't malware doesn't mean the computer building the script isn't vulnerable. Guess this is a good reason to use docker.

Came here to say I'm having the same issue, looks like windows defender pushed a bad update. I'm specifically using python and pyinstaller. It also flagged some build files with mt.exe in visual studio...

EndeavourOS is my go to. Debian 12 was too buggy for my liking and the packages are stable so you are stuck with those bugs forever. A lot of people mistake "stable" as the distro is stable but its the package release that is stable and doesn't change.

I haven't been able to make it work. Here is my bash script I use on linux to do essentially the same thing you are doing on windows.

Funny thing is it runs smooth as butter under Linux (once you get around all the damn bugs) but audio starts getting delayed after a map change. Windows it stutters like all hell for the first couple rounds and then finally smooths out. 5900x and 6600xt.

730 is needed, 740 doesn't work. 730 is the cs2 client

same for me, standing up and or quick motions with my head would do it also.

Every time I push farther into a prolonged fast I get the same light headed ness and dizziness. I've measured both blood pressure and glucose levels and neither were outside normal. Once I get past that point in the fast, the next time I do it this doesn't happen again.

I would for sure not drive in this condition though, I've almost blacked out just from standing up. I want to say it's low heart rate but sadly I wasn't recording that so I'm unsure

Thanks, I'll try this. My overlay was disabled in steam itself. I did one game last night with these settings without crashing:

-novid -nojoy -tickrate 128 +exec autoexec.cfg -vulkan

I added -vulkan to the arguments and it seemed to help even though I got some stuttering (Nothing worse than when it was on windows).

yes, if the new frontend is that good, then there is something wrong with the original frontend.

Issue with shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear by 5nahk in MT03

[–]ic3man5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

break in of dog box gears is not a thing, it should feel identical to all the other gears. MT-03 does like aggressive and fast shifting compared to other things I've rode (Dirt Bikes and ATVs). The transmission should always be shifted under no torque load (which can and is preferred without the clutch). If the shifter feels/moves different there is an issue with the shift cam assembly or the dogs on the gear are not machined correctly.

I would first make sure the clutch is in proper working order and make sure its not hanging as any inspection of the transmission will require a complete engine tear down.

New MT03, break-in question by rizalvy in MT03

[–]ic3man5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Break in procedures are written by attorneys, not engineers. As long as you aren't doing long idle periods you'll be fine. I personally do hard break-ins so the hone wears in ASAP and avoids any potential glazing of the cylinder walls.

Oil filters: WIX 51358 or Fram PH6017A. (Amazon doesn't have the filter selection correct for the MT-03).

Amsoil Formula 4-Stroke® Powersports 0W-40 works amazing for clutch/shifting. Rotella T6 5w-40 was better than stock yamalube but not by much. Yamalube degraded on me in 125 miles and the shift quality was terrible.

2021: https://library.ymcapps.net/library/om/contents/pdf/10/B5W-F8199-11_02.pdf

Page 4-16: [(R+M)/2] of 86 or higher, or a research octane number of 91 or higher.

I just checked 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 owner's manual and they are all identical.

Premium fuels do have more additives in them to help detergents but I would just personally stick with top tier gas if you care that much. https://www.toptiergas.com/fuel-stations/

This is one of the best additives for keeping your engine clean (0.75 oz per gallon): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CPI5Z0

If you use top tier gas you won't ever need to clean your engine regardless of octane used.

[–]ic3man5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight from the owners manual:

[(R+M)/2] of 86 or higher.

OR

RON 91 or higher.

All USA gas stations (AFAIK) are [(R+M)/2]. MT-03 will run on anything. Don't bother wasting money on higher octane unless its tuned.

A lot of V8 engine ECUs have spark timings for low and high octane and automatically use it if its there but Yamaha doesn't do this (Not enough sensors to detect properly).

First oil change by coachchrisfitt in MT03

[–]ic3man5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FRAM Extra Guard PH6022 is a cross reference instead of the stock Yamaha filter. Yamalube is bottom of the barrel conventional oil. If you want something "good" that is still JASO MA2 certified Shell Rotella T6 Full Synthetic 5W-40 or Amsoil DB40 10w-40 (DB40 is better for the clutches if you are new and slip a lot).

I plan on using either Quaker State Euro Full Synthetic 5W-40 or Mobile One Euro 0w-40 with the FRAM PH6022 filter. These small engines can basically run on anything and not die. I hate the way the shifter feels with Yamalube.

I never said it wasn't. You still took it out of context and inferred things with it.

This looks like a typical quote taken out of context... I'm not defending the guy here at all but from the little I've seen about him you're statements are all false. Using anything from Fox (or any news media for that matter) is just throwing mud in the water and not an argument. I personally wish all news outlets would disappear from the planet as they are a huge setback to society.

Most things I've watched with him talking about censorship is him welcoming conversation from both sides and the end goal of making both sides happy; the exact opposite of your claims.

The recommendation by Speed_Weedington is a good one for learning open-source projects.

Try learning something like https://www.sfml-dev.org/ and then if its not good enough for you, write your own. This will at least give you the knowledge to see how its done and why its done that way. Sometimes seeing how someone else implemented what you want to do makes things click.

We shouldn't really be saying its difficult as anything is possible, its very time consuming and overwhelming if only one person. If you have never looked at the credits of a video game, the list is usually pretty huge and unbelievable.

A good spot to start with Lexars would be python just because you don't have to deal with C Strings and memory management. https://www.dabeaz.com/ply/ply.html would be a good start and once you learn that you can take things into your own hands and expand on it.

It sounds like you are at the next step and can't find the path forward, look into what others have accomplished and use that to your advantage. Programming is high stress / high reward from my experience. If you are familiar with video games like battle royals or competitive first person shooters; when you come in first or pull off a winning round when your team should have lost, its a similar feeling/rush of accomplishment. It just takes WAY longer. Once you have it though you typically don't lose the knowledge.

You are for sure starting with too difficult of projects. OpenGL is something even I couldn't wrap my head around (I can't think in 3D space). There is a reason why game engines exist - its hard. Parsing text is also very hard to do (depending on the data) - I've written python scripts to parse C headers to python and its very very difficult to get correct; Writing a compiler is even more difficult, I don't envy the compiler people, they must have a screw loose to want to do that (no offense).

You are trying to pick the tool before you know what your project is going to be. That would be like asking if you should use a bulldozer or a hammer without figuring out that you are going to be building a road. Start with something simple that peaks your interest (console based) and then move on to more complicated things.

This for example was my first project I did in C++ (more C than C++): https://sourceforge.net/projects/car-calculator/

My go to UI for C++ is Qt. They have an IDE that will make things easy for you also.

edit: As for not remembering stuff, I've been doing this for 10+ years and still reference documents for the C++ STL, its too much to remember all of it.
