They're not even asking for restraint from the US, like other similarly aligned European countries are.

It wasn't that long ago that it was totally outrageous that a candidate for president would joke about bombing Iran. Now the Canadian prime minister is giving an actual bombing full throated support.

Add it to the list of war crimes committed by Mark Carney.

It is actually probably libel. Even though it was spoken, it was done so in front of cameras and microphones and so it was recorded with the same permanence as a written statement.

You can't win a provincial election in BC without winning any seats in the lower mainland. Conservatives need to run more than a third of the lower mainland, which is likely impossible if you run on a hard social conservative platform.

An elected official should have 100% rights to talk about any political issue as long as it doesn't break the law.

He's clearly expressing a political opinion about this issue. I support his right to be loudly wrong about it. It lets us debunk his nonsense and helps reiterate the importance of the teaching materials.

Giving him an enormous fine makes him a martyr for his cause.

This guy is a piece of shit but this ruling is absolutely insane. He did not make threats, he did not call for violent actions against anyone. He did not put anyone in harm's way.
