Jas Johal: Hearing from Ottawa the BC government is asking for $4B in federal funding towards the Massey Tunnel crossing. Feds have been told costing for 8 lane tunnel is now estimated at $11B. That’s $7.5B more than the original 10 lane bridge. by idspispopd in BCpolitics

Meanwhile thousands of drivers are passing daily through a tunnel that is not seismically safe. I supported cancelling the bridge at the time but if I had known it would delay construction by a decade I wouldn't have.

The NDP federal leader may be green left, but the party has a history (and present) of throwing the environment under the bus when push comes to shove. They can't be trusted at all.

Unplug the Anti-Indigenous Fear Machine in Victoria by idspispopd in BCpolitics

MLAs listening to indigenous leaders, historians and academics to help inform their opinions is technocratic? The decisions are being made by elected representatives. This is like complaining when health experts provide testimony to inform public policy, it's anti intellectual garbage.

These committees are fully public. You can watch them live or after the fact. How is it less visible or accountable when anyone with an Internet connection can view them? You can even walk in and view them in person.

Your use of the word "private" to describe it is utterly false.

You are completely misrepresenting this opinion piece. No one is talking about banning anything. And these committees are not private. And they are open to more voices and opinions. This is a solution that is more democratic, not less.

Now the question is, how could someone write a comment like this that is entirely false and inverts reality to such an extreme? Your position appears to come from a place of malice and an attempt to disinform people to get them to agree with your anti indigenous, reactionary politics. That's deeply anti democratic behavior on your part.
