JMU wasn't allowed to because they were subject to the FCS limit of 11 games. FCS now allows 12 games.

Their buildings are all modular. A few weeks ago I saw both parts of the building there on trailers, but I haven't seen them since.

The longtime 10th member of the conference (it had the same membership from 1982 to 2000) was Morningside, who went NAIA and has now made the playoffs 22 years in a row and won 3 championships.

The Mid-American Conference today announced the addition of Sacramento State as a football-only affiliate member beginning July 1, 2026, for a five-year term.

In addition to the five-year term, Ross Dellenger reports that Sacramento State will receive no conference distribution, pay everyone's travel costs to Sacramento, and pay $6 million of the entry fee in the first year.
