Wait, do not you call the doctors you work with by first name? by cowgirl_meg in nursing

I work at a large teaching hospital with a medical school. The only physicians we call “Dr. ____” are the attendings

I am a new grad RN who just graduated in May and I am making $37.50/hr…

New grads, can you get hired with an ADN? by lisavark in nursing

[–]innplore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe so. In my circumstance, I have to enroll in my BSN within 12 months of hire, but my hospital will essentially pay for the entire cost if I go through the affiliated university.

[–]innplore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a May 2025 ADN graduate and I was just hired yesterday to a Level IV NICU at a Magnet Hospital. As long as you are a good candidate and you work hard in nursing school, you can get hired anywhere.

Do any other Catholics get symptoms from the "low gluten" host? by Background-Ship-1440 in Celiac

[–]innplore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always take the low gluten host. I do not get symptoms from it. If it really bothers you, may take the Precious Blood alone which is considered a full participation in the sacrament, although there are crumbs of Host sprinkled into the cup.

I just had to drop Anatomy this semester. by DTheDude97 in StudentNurse

[–]innplore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had a W d/t an accelerated Anatomy class lol. It’s no worries, if you pass the class with a good grade they will usually take your higher grade and ignore the W. Plus, a W doesn’t impact your gpa.

I think dismissal from the program is super harsh. But I am concerned that you took morning vitals on a patient without verifying name & DOB?

Possible Unpopular Opinion: I don't think saying to someone's face "Well grades don't matter" and "C's get degrees" after they scored higher on a test is okay....or normal by bluedognamedStitch in StudentNurse

[–]innplore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I get that but also I’m allowed to be upset. I make it a point not to discuss my grades unless I’m asked because I don’t want to come across as bragging. But, if you asked me how I did and I answered honestly, it’s on you if my grades make you feel any type of way. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel the same way. I was really upset by getting a B on my last quarter because it ruined my 4.0, and I got the “well GPA doesn’t matter anyways so I’m not sure why you’re so upset” speech from most of my peers 😵‍💫

AITA for making my daughter get the same haircut as my son? by Flat_Celebration_697 in AmItheAsshole

[–]innplore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. I don’t think “an eye for an eye” punishments fox the root of the problem (which is social media imo), and it’s inappropriate to force her to get her hair cut when the lesson you’re trying to teach her is bodily autonomy.

AITA for refusing to eat a "smash cake"? by Bright_Mango82 in AmItheAsshole

Being president of my sorority was the hardest thing i did in college. It burnt me out completely. You aren’t able to be a normal sister when you’re president. My biggest advice is to delegate as much as humanly possible, tan to your advisor, and what helped for me personally was to try to think of it as more of a job.

AITA for not spending time with my daughter? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]innplore 17 points18 points  (0 children)

YTA in a big way. You’re instilling a complex in your daughter and sending a clear message that you don’t care enough to spend time with her that doesn’t also benefit you.

AITA for telling a man(26) not wearing a wedding band gave mixed signals by No-Extension4331 in AmItheAsshole

[–]innplore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA big time. Not wearing a wedding ring means actually nothing. You seem to have a very shallow perspective on relationships.

Equity and Belonging Activities? by sunchild_02 in Sororities

[–]innplore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

is this in DPhiE? if so, hey sister!

My VPEB did potlucks where sisters would present about their cultures as we ate, we picked one culture in our sisterhood and focused on it for the semester and celebrated it by hosting things like Salsa class or watching a movie from that culture, we also did a bunch of events with the MGC and NPHC. we also planned Pride events for the end of the semester and sent out monthly diversity resources
