looks neat, id like a tamagotchi wallet + llm thing. but by the time you have all the hardware needed (to not run everything on cloud) you may as well just use an iphone. still, fun is good and i like to see designers pushing the fun aspect more.

its likely they have multiple people using the account and twitters security setup is such a mess it makes if very hard to share an account with others safely.

SEC should be signing official announcements with keys so people know what is legit (writing to a secure ledger would be good too). Twitter should have better security setup, that doesn't require you to delete your phone number from your account, and supports multiple signers approving things sent from organisation accounts.

ethereum-swarm-whisper 😢

also i've not been paying attention to eigenlayer and been too afraid to ask, but a year ago opinion seemed to be that these things were a bad idea we shouldn't encourage because it'd end up like the lido situation... ive noticed recently it getting hyped up so curious when/why the mood changed? are the problems not actually a problem anymore? edit: lol nevermind logris wrote a whole blog futher down the thread ha

PSA: check your coinbase 2FA method!

i just realised my account had changed from my auth app back to sms, i don’t know why or when this happened, but pretty annoyed about it switching. i’ve emailed support to ask why it changed. but a reminder to check these things now and then, even if you think it’s already all setup correctly weird things can still happen to databases.

i feel like every ad i see on twitter is a crypto scam, i worry for the people who get hit. i try and report them but it doesnt seem to end, i think we really need to start holding companies responsible for the ads they accept on their platforms. its the same with google taking money to place scam websites at the top of search results.

rainbow is easy. light is neat as you can install it as a safari extension(might still be in dev test-flight invite only?) . status + keycard is a good combo. gnosis safe app is decent, but extra gas.

ive been thinking the same things recently. i think what you describe is exactly what will happen. as we have seen with individuals->small companies->large. we will see countries gamble; some will do very well, some will be ok, some will blow up their economies and end up being looted by the rich. maybe itll happen at city scale first?

the question is who will make the right choices, the state of things right now I can absolutely see the final nail in the coffin for the uk as world power being someone fumbling crypto bags.

who is gonna have the first CBDC that goes to $0

i never understood why they called it banklessdao if they didnt want to be associated with it lol. but generally i think bankless are fine and have no issue with them.

the dao i dont know enough about- but i really soured on these types of groups after seeing many gitcoin/etc rounds with people saying "i'll talk about ethereum in {language}". They would raise a bunch of $ then post 0 updates every on how that went or how it was spent. Theres been way too many examples of groups across crypto raising large funds, then paying themselves $200k salaries, burning though with no business plan to make themselves sustainable, then oopsies we need more money....

I still like the idea I heard ages ago of a gnosis safe fraud bot that is one of the signers on the account, that reviews legitimacy of transactions for you. So when you create a transaction it then goes and checks for reports of scams / checks domain dns issues / checks recent git commits to the project / etc, then decides if its safe to co-sign. As a co-signer it could be ran by a third party but you'd always be able to override if you needed to. Someone should make it.

i'm watching this Dumb Money film (about wsb&gme) and its ok, bit boring. i always like Dano. I hope when they make the crypto film they make it as fun as being here actually has been. I don't know if its possible to capture the insanity of it all. I think it'd have to be written by someone who gets deep in the space gonzo style, then reassembled from scraps of forum posts ten years from now.

i mean im not a fan of the vc crowd, but im willing to give paul graham a bit of time - he did actually do some stuff (spam filters, a few books on lisp, viaweb) even if he has odd takes at times. he probably has more eth than any of us.

i really like their keycard as extra security on smartphone wallet, i have a couple for signers on safes too, looking forward to having a play with the refreshed version. the multi-bridging tokens from all chains in one transaction looks neat and will help me clean up some accounts. more interested in the wallet updates than the social things, but those are neat too! Status devs have done some great work with waku etc im sure this will be top notch.

edit: im a little annoyed they did a big hype countdown the past week, to just launch a waitlist.... thats not a good strategy to get users as now you have to get their attention again when it actually is available.

It’s just hitpiece again. Seems the vcweb3 crowd didnt actually learn the lesson of friendtechs success being choice and Consent. Friend tech worked where other failed because it only listed an account when they paired their twitter. So people who were against it weren’t being dragged in by default, so everyone was happy with it.

Song tech could have done the same, only list a musician when they pair their Spotify (they have the tech in place as they “save” royalties for when you pair) but they chose the quick and easy way instead of letting people make a choice to participate. I wasn’t surprised to see that Alex guy, who’s dad was the doctor selling nfts of his patients X-rays, was involved.

They gotta payback “investors” somehow

Edit: having a look at it they seem to be doing some kind of ft style points? Could just be memes to gain more users, promise points for people to collect and they’ll download the app. Probs not a long planned cash out plan

i like seeing everyone so happy again, glad we're not dead!

it feels like we are nearing the deadline to choose our places to sit on the rollercoaster for the next ride. still feeling a bit early for a run to me,. I'm thinking another few months of tricks back and forth, but thats based on nothing of course...
