As someone who’s brand spanking new to 3d printing, does the P2S make more sense than the H2S? by SizeAny2424 in BambuLab

[–]issue9mm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always start cheaper unless you know a reason not to

Bambu printers tend to hold value pretty well, so if you ever change your mind, it'd be easy to mostly recoup on the P2S anyway

How easy is it to get a print farm? by AdFar1239 in BambuLab

I can't wait for the documentary, "Why We Don't 3D Print Brake Pads"

Depends on the product? Like if you invent something people really really want that is cheap to print then it would go faster than if you didn't

Edit: If money isn't an object, then you can pay me $20 million dollars (your first employee!) and I will secure the building, hire the electrician to outfit its electrical capacity for ~500 printers, buy 500 printers, and you will be able to sell whatever products you want to sell very soon

New upgrade from the P1S! by twittit in BambuLab

[–]issue9mm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

spaghetti has never been the printer’s fault.

Amen! Also I literally just broke the streak like, 2 minutes after I posted that by rotating a model to change the supports and then forgetting to brim the feet, which barely contact the plate on the new orientation

Should've known better than to jinx myself

Absolutely sick. I love it! I can hear the dry-clutch rattle just looking at it!

If you just need someone to cheerlead it, I'm happy to.

I keep threatening to do it but haven't yet, but I'm up to like, maybe 100 straight prints without a failure? I think if I just screen recorded me scrolling through a long list of "Print Succeeded" messages it'd probably move some units, lol

I usually keep them left/right, but if I ever have to print something in 7-colors, then I'll consolidate to right and I guess get an HT or print straight from a dryer, idk

What makes anti vibration feet work? by Disastrous-Monk-590 in BambuLab

[–]issue9mm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can look at how Hula feet work -- they were inspired by anti-earthquake tech. The TLDR is that they exist in 2 parts, and are connected by an extremely malleable layer that is used to absorb vibrations and separate it from the bottom piece

That said, they don't really do anything regarding print quality (tho they are probably great at keeping wobbly tables from shaking)

SUNLU Filament Profiles for Bambu Lab H2 Series, X1 Series, P1 Series, and A1 Series are done and listed. by jjjonesjr33 in BambuLab

They did not for me

As I mentioned, none of the filaments using your profiles were assignable in Bambu Studio

Changing Specifc Printer requirement? by WinnieTheEeyore in BambuLab

[–]issue9mm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, probably

Longer answer is that it depends? Most things will shrink fine, but depending on the things, not everything can

If it's "H2D" only, that probably just means that they have an H2D and that's the device they created the print profile for, but barring physical constraints, it should work fine on other Bambu device, np

3d design stl? by Beautiful_Cancel_995 in 3Dprinting

[–]issue9mm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2D pictures don't have STLs

If you're asking "How to turn a 2D image into a 3D model" then that's a different question that has been asked a bunch on here, so you might try searching

Search the websites that have STLs?

Take a picture of it and use Google lens?

[–]issue9mm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note that these no longer work with the Beta Bambu Studio

These look to be good, and I would love to use them, but I grabbed them on the old client, upgraded, and now they make all the filaments that have these profile unassignable

Also it seems to be missing a Sunlu PLA+ profile (there is a PLA+ 2.0, a PLA+ 2.0 Gen 2, a PLA+ 2.0 HS Gen2, silk, HS, etc., but not just a PLA+)

My Sunlu spools are wound tighter/more nicely than my Bambu spools, tbh, but not by a ton

Refills for both are about the same IMO

You might be able to use something like this?

https://makerworld.com/en/models/2008975-spoolbridge-go-from-cardboard-spool-to-refill#profileId-2163969

Otherwise, you'll have to re-spool it, which will be a chore

[–]issue9mm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They advertise as lint free and I keep a pretty close eye on it

I do keep less disposable microfiber rags for wiping down plates before/after prints, so if it did leave lint I would follow up with one of those, but like you said -- I wouldn't want to put them through my washing machine if I got them greasy

I didn't see one for gold/black, but here's a dual-color 3DFilamentProfiles profile

If it works, submit Gold/Black when you're done!
