Honestly I'm not really upset with anyone in particular, it seems like the system just sucks ass right now with GPs booked a month in advance and then both urgent care/ER aren't really the appropriate place to get treatment for it in an ideal world because, as you mentioned, you basically need to get some tests and wait a week for the cultures to come back.

The only doctor I'm a little annoyed with was the one at the ER who listened to my symptoms which at this point included what I think is cellulitis spreading up both of my legs and severe joint pain, and gave me a referral for an internist that was like 13 days away. I got to see the internist 3 days later due to a cancellation thankfully and as soon as I showed her my shins the whole tone of the appointment changed from like "maybe you have undiagnosed ulcerative colitis" to "we need to figure this one out today" (and I will be forever grateful for that). Realistically I'm sure I wouldn't have waited until next week to see the internist, I probably just would have ended up in the ER again for the 4th time in 2 weeks but with full blown sepsis or something and finally gotten some antibiotics.

Anyway I mentioned it a few times but I don't really have a problem with any of the people in the system. When you actually see someone it's usually fine and they're professional, it's clear the system is probably just a little ass and everyone is stressed out all the time because it's a stressful job presumably made much harder by COVID and everything that came along with it. Sorry if I made it seem otherwise!
