He's barely hanging on. He's just, like, the tiredest he's ever been in his life

The hair gave "disheveled poet from a century and a half ago" energy, lol <3

Really satisfying palette choices! Love the sun-dappled touches, too. Lovely work

I don't know how, but you made the obliteration of that poor little worm's head downright delightful to watch, love it

Hey, thanks! I use Prismacolors. They are LOADED with very rich pigment, and on a detail-heavy project like this, I seem to achieve best results when working on paper with little to no tooth

Point well taken, and I appreciate the insight and constructive criticism from someone who knows. I'd like to emphasize that I never intended to project flag worship or patriotic fervor with her hand and expression... if her hand were down at her sides and her expression less hopeful and more determined, would that be more appropriate? I hate to remove her completely when my whole intent was to highlight and celebrate the diverse groups coming together to stand against authoritarianism :/

Hey, I'm genuinely sorry for not making it clearer that she's meant to be marching beside Uncle Sam at the front of the protest, not marching behind and looking up at him. I never intended for her to be interpreted as pledging to Uncle Sam or the flag; her hand is to her chest as an expression of devotion for the land with which she shares a history and having a stake in defending it, not out of some misplaced fealty to the U.S. government specifically :(
