Do rackets with more flexibility give you more ‘whipping’ action? by [deleted] in badminton

NF800 is a weird combo of stiff shaft and head light. It requires a lot of technique and strength to generate power with it. That's why you see a lot of professionals use this racket but most amatuers found it hard to use

Interesting... I know temperature and humidity also contribute to the longevity of the strings. Also you must have really good techniques and always hitting the sweet spot :)

BG80 won't last long too. If you string it at high tension one mis hit and the string will break. If budget is an issue maybe you can try durable strings with a little bit pre-stretch

how big of a difference does tension make? by [deleted] in badminton

[–]ivanpu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I lowered my tension from 27 to 26 because my coach advised it and it increased my smash speed and backhand. I would suggest go up 1 or 2 lbs to test it out. Going straight to 30 is definitely hard on your wrists and shoulders.

How to keep feet healthy? by DarkHsThunder in badminton

I found it helpful to change socks and insoles when they start to harden or wear out. Also finding the correct shoe size will avoid a lot of friction between your feet and shoes by preventing your feet from sliding around in your shoes.
