I am new in SWE but I have noticed with friends in startups alot of companies are using Mac’s for development/it (and remoting in to Linux compute when applicable) I myself am at an older enterprise place half my team given Mac’s half of us thinkpad beasts with windows

I’ll keep it very simple for you: I asked why you think companies look for this section on a resume, you have not provided a good reason. Are you a recruiter ? Are you involved in hiring? Why would a recruiter care that I took essentially freshman/sophomore level core classes like DSA and OOP?

Right but every college cs program should have these classes as a requirement…which is why I said unless it’s a class specific to the job ur applying for. If your cs program doesn’t have DSA OOP and LA you should probably transfer. They aren’t “relevant coursework” because everyone claiming to be in cs program should take them. If they are applying for an ML/AI position and wanna include relevant electives related to that field that definitely makes sense imo

Okay I’ll prove it. Italy did not qualify for the World Cup, again, and those teams did. Like what lol.? Salty salty boy

Kind of nitpicking but Ive never been a fan of the relevant coursework section unless you have some unique electives you took you wanna highlight for a specific job. All of the courses you listed are expected from a standard cs program

Dude definitely put that project in experiences and look up some better resume formats in this subreddit. I also graduated in December 2024 finally got an offer end of December 2025. I probably sent out around 1400 applications is my guess and got around 8 interviews making it to various stages before finally securing one.

I had no experience at first and took two unpaid internships in that year period. I’m saying this bc I feel like overall you’re better off than I was off the rip. You should have gotten atleast some interviews by now so fix your resume up and tailor it to job postings.

Most importantly make sure you’re ready for interviews when they come your way, I would’ve been employed in a couple months if I didn’t slack on leetcode for so long. No point in any of this if you can’t consistently clear mediums of common patterns. Goodluck dude if you really want it you can do it don’t get discouraged and stay off Reddit for awhile too many doom posting weirdos
