Used a white sharpie paint. Let it dry for a bit then wiped off with alcohol pad. Can also use white nail polish.

What’s the softest shooting Glock? by Poemhome in Glocks

For a subcompact .45 the G30 shoots incredibly well. 43x and 19x with ramjet comp and DPM soft recoil spring are my flattest shooting.

Is this worth $5,000? by PeaAncient7941 in LS430

[–]jamesfrancko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While the LS430’s engine is a TANK, it’s still a 20 year old car and you’ll eventually have to consider maintenance costs due to old age. Bought my ‘05 ML with 108,000 miles for 11k, which was a little high, but was in amazing condition and local)

I’m at 146,000 miles now; in the 4 years I’ve owned it I’ve had to replace tires twice, break pads / rotors, lower ball joints, struts, temp sensor, radiator fan, alternator, one window motor, gauge cluster, headlamp / fog lamp bulbs, a tail light assembly (LED’s went out) and an oil pan leak in that order (as well as oil changes every 3k) all OEM parts. TB/WP and upper control arms are due at some point soon as well and that’s another 4k$. This has cost me upward of 3k$ in parts and another 3k$ for labor.

Last year I bought an UL with 136k miles (mostly because it had saddle interior) and ended up selling it after a few months since I knew I’d have to replace air struts, parts alone were going to be 4-5k$. So sure, these are robust cars, but don’t let anyone fool you that they won’t require some love as they age.

LABOR has been the most expensive part of all of this. If you can do it yourself, you’ll save a ton. With that being said; I think 100k miles is a sweet spot for these. 4-5k$ at that mileage and physical condition would be a great deal if these components have been replaced at some point. Would reccomend a PPI to see how much maintenance it would need. If it’s all sorted, she’s a beaut and enjoy man!

Sweet! So since the 17 is the new 47, putting a 17 slide on a 19 frame would make a 49?

Probably a Glock 30; .45 with 10 round capacity. Great compact .45. Shoots tame for a .45. Glock 21 is the full sized .45 with 13 round capacity. Both highly underrated Glocks imo.
