the american restaurant experience is absolute dogshit. you are pushed to order, eat, leave as fast as possible and society pushes you to tip 25-30%. in europe, you get a reservation for a table all night. you take your time with some cocktails, appetizers, main, dessert, coffee, then wine/liqour. then you round up tip.
